Housing Hunting Leave

The VA currently has my PEB packed and my PEBLO stated that to completion of finding out my rating, should be around 45 days. In that case, I have started researching alternatives to regular leave and believe that I should at leave be permitted 10 days house hunting leave depending on command approval. Is there any other types of leave that I'm missing out on as I'm going out the door? Thank you all for your input.

"c. Discharge for Medical Reasons. Members discharged for

medical reasons may be eligible upon receipt of separation

orders or authorization to be involuntarily separated; however,

board findings that recommend discharge are not sufficient

reason to authorize PTDY. Such members must

(1) have the CO’s authorization for PTDY.

(2) have separation orders issued to the member.

(3) be authorized PTDY that will be completed prior to separation date.

(4) not be provided adjustments in separation dates to increase opportunity to utilize PTDY."

We get 10 house hunting leave and 10 job hunting leave dependent on if we're retiring. If we aren't over that 30% we only get 10 job hunting leave days. I think it varies by command, though.
