I spoke with my PEBLO today trying to see if I had been found Fit or Unfit (Board was sent off on 19 May). She told me that there was "no update in my file but, for what its worth, the VA system has been up and down for the past two weeks." Is she blowing smoke up my 6 or what? I didnt think that the VA systems had anything to do with the DOD side of the house. I could be wrong, but thats why im here. Thanks.

My PEBLO told me twice this week that the system they use has been up and down and that is why it took so long for my NARSUM and 3947 to get completed.

The VA system they're talking about is the "VTA Data Entry System" that tracks your progress. If you look on AKO on your IDES Dashboard, that information reflects what was pulled from the VTA Data Entry System. I wouldn't be surprised if that's the case, so I doubt she's blowing smoke. Recommend you take a look at your Dashboard which updates every Monday night into Tuesday morning for a change in your "current step" or "expected step," this might help a bit. Keep on top of your PEBLO though. It's not uncommon to hear that the PEBLO failed to let you know of your fit/unfit findings if the case was sent to VA for ratings. You can also check on your e-Benefits to check and see if VA has made any sort of progress on your claims status.

What are you talking about when you say "IDES Dashboard"? Ive been in the Marines for almost 10 years and have never heard of this before.
Not sure if you guys have anything similar to AKO, I didn't realize I was posting to the Marine Case Timelines. We have something in the Army that allows us to track the progress of our case through AKO using the "IDES Dashboard" that is featured on AKO. It might be worth asking your PEBLO if you guys have something similar to this.
Psh...this is the Marine Corps...they would rather save the money and just use PEBLOs than spend the money on something like this that would raise Morale...
