going into IDES with 16 years and 100% P&T

I have a combined service connected 100% P&T for a couple years now.

I am still in the Army reserve and just had 2 of 3 submitted disabilities approved for IDRM.

Going into the IDES now.
Does this mean.

The VA will only evaluate me for the two IDRM’s the IDES pushes the army says are duty related?

Then..

What happens to the other already rated by the VA service-connected disabilities?

Hello,

I put together the below post to try and answer being VA rated and then entering the IDES system. Many of the experts here believe you will get to pick if the VA does a new VA claim review and DoD ratings or just DoD ratings. The regs I found appear to back that and I trust the experience here on this forum. My challenge is that my state personnel and an uncertain VA rep all tell me that no matter what my VA rating will be reviewed like it's an open claim. I too am PT but with IU as well.

If you get there before I do, please share your experience. I will do the same. Currently waiting on pre-IDES items with other LODs to be worked through. Definitely check out the link and regs below. Good luck!

Unless the VA has evidence that those rated conditions have improved, nothing happens to them

AND

There are due process laws that VA must follow in order to reduce a veteran’s rating.

  1. VA Notifies the Veteran—To initiate a rating reduction, VA’s first step is to send a notice to the veteran that VA has proposed to reduce their rating. This notice is not a rating decision. You cannot appeal a proposed reduction using a Notice of Disagreement (NOD) as you would a rating decision.
  2. The Veteran Decides on a Hearing or Not—If a veteran does not agree with the proposed reduction, they have 30 days to request a hearing (although this step is not necessary to fight a reduction). If you do request a hearing, VA cannot reduce your rating until it is held. Requesting a hearing can provide the veteran with additional time to submit new evidence to fight the proposed reduction. Whether you request a hearing or not, veterans have 60 days to submit new evidence.
  3. VA Issues a Decision— In order for VA to issue a decision reducing a veteran’s rating, it must prove through medical evidence that there has been an actual change in the veteran’s disabling condition since they were last rated. In addition, there must have been improvement in the veteran’s condition using the evidence provided throughout the course of their entire medical history.

6 months in and I finally heard from my assigned PEBLO for the 1st time yesterday. I was told that since I am already rated and not challenging my percentage, I will have a C&P for MEB purpose only.

After doing research and seeing what others have to navigate and wait through, I know everyone will have a different experience, If I at least update mine hopefully it helps others out who had the same questions or concerns. I have learned a lot here.

Orders received pretty quick.. Everything I read indicates I have to wait until I am officially retired to submit the application for CRSC.
