Long time lurker looking to add some datapoints now that I feel things are moving a little bit:

23 Sep 24 - Referred to MEB/Code 37 for PTSD
2 Oct 24 - No PEBLO; checked in w/ local patient advocate, said to come back end of month if no PEBLO by then
4 Oct 24 - Self-nominated for AFW2
28 Oct 24 - Nothing heard, checked in w/ patient advocate
29 Oct 24 - Patient advocate refers me to AFMEDCOM IDES QA/Compliance Lead
30 Oct 24 - QA lead calls me (super nice dude) then emails PEBLO office at JB Andrews
31 Oct 24 - PEBLO assigned, SHA Part A and intake form filled and submitted
27 Nov 24 - PEBLO is still awaiting NARSUM (expected next week) and CIP (sounds like emails were missed between CC and PEBLO)
5 Dec 24 - CIP finalized and signed, NARSUM also finished around this time
12 Dec 24 - Case sent to AFPC for adjudication
7 Jan 25 - Found unfit; AFPC orders full MEB/PEB
27 Jan 25 - Assigned MSC sends me notice about initial VA benefits brief on 1/28
28 Jan 25 - Missed brief notification due to treatment, email MSC back about rescheduling
7 Feb 25 - AFW2 assigns me a recovery care coordinator due to MEB referral from AFPC
14 Feb 25 - After multiple emails, my PEBLO tried to escalate and a different MSC calls to help; get my VA 21-526EZ submitted; notified that exams have been requested

Hoping to get the exams scheduled quickly!

15 Feb 25 - Three exams scheduled for 17-25 Feb
28 Feb 25 - Called QTC: they have DBQs and are QC'ing them
3 Mar 25 - Two of three exam DBQ's showing in TOL; QTC says they are going back and forth with general exam doc on his

12 Mar – MH DBQ wasn't accurate and my MSC says that I can have my provider fill one out and send it to him
26 Mar – Been calling QTC almost every other day. Said today that a QA rep is helping the provider and it should be done by the end of the week
27 Mar – Final C&P DBQs loaded! Of course a bunch are messed up... Still waiting on my MH provider to finish hers.

It sounds like your process is moving along pretty quickly. I have a quick question about the MH assessment—did you feel like it didn’t fully cover everything you were dealing with? I ask because after I saw mine, I felt the same way. On top of that, during my C&P exam, the building I was in was evacuated for about 30 minutes, and pretty much ended the appointment upon returning inside. Did the MSC simply say you could have your provider fill out the same assessment to be submitted with the C&P exam? After reading your post, I feel like I should reach out to my MSC.

Definitely not as quick as I'd like but moving I guess. I feel like it hardly covered half of my symptoms and it was only 20 min. My MSC accepted a DBQ from my regular provider and said that he submitted it with all the others for the initial rating. I would definitely ask if you can do the same.

15 Apr – PEBLO MEB brief (report is missing an unfitting condition); signed DAF 618; contacted ODC and was assigned an attorney

I will likely do an IMR (and rebuttal as necessary) to get my ME/CFS added as unfitting pending ODC consult.

15 Apr – ODC attorney recommended a rebuttal memo and sent me a template
16 Apr – Draft memo reviewed by attorney; rebuttal documents submitted to PEBLO via MHS GENESIS
22 Apr – CMA recommends adding ME/CFS
29 Apr – Chief of Medicine concurs with CMA
30 Apr – PEBLO reports the NARSUM should be done by the end of the week
1 May – Received CMA response letters from PEBLO; ME/CFS added to my 618 and case sent to PEB

5 May – First MyFSS email
8 May – Called VA 800#: claim is in the decision phase
19 May – VERA appt: Ready for decision but not assigned to a rater yet
28 May – Called VA 800#: claim is in the decision phase still. Rep checked the notes and VA is waiting for the IPEB un/fit determination. Sent message to PEBLO.
29 May – PEBLO says they have no visibility into the IPEB and to wait for the email.
2 Jun – Still nothing. Emailed AFPC/DPFDD but they referred me back to my PEBLO...

Anyone have any idea how backed up the IPEB is right now? It has been over a month...

Not sure if you're still waiting but if you are maybe my process will help...
My PEB took about 6 weeks. During one of my weekly calls, my MSC mentioned that my package had been sitting with the same person for a couple of weeks. After noticing that, they sent a message to that individual to inquire about the delay. That message went out on a Thursday, and by the following week, I received my proposed ratings. I'm not sure if your MSC will do that for you but as soon as mine saw how long it was sitting with the same person, they sent a message. Hope this helps, stay busy if you can, and good luck.

Still impatiently waiting... I hit up my MSC yesterday but he just said that the "claim is pending" and that there was nothing new. I'll follow up and see if he can shoot a message, thanks.

10 Jun – My PEBLO said that the IPEB is waiting for the VA. Called my MSC and he said that it was assigned to a rater for proposed ratings on 5 Jun.
25 Jun – Asked my MSC to ping the rater (thanks @Itsbeingrouted ); he said he would.
26 Jun – MSC got a response, says it should be done sometime next week.

1 Jul – PEBLO brief; just my luck that the IPEB messed up the DAF 356…
1 Jul – ODC consult. PEBLO and ODC will reach out to IPEB to ask if they'll fix the 356 w/o sending me to the FPEB.
2 Jul – ODC follow-up. IPEB will correct the 356!
2 Jul – Corrected 356 received. 1180 and other docs signed and sent to PEBLO!

Total time from code 37 to orders: 9 months 15 days
Notable delays:
1 month to get a PEBLO
1 month for my initial NARSUM
3 weeks to get my MSC brief/C&P exam scheduling
5.5 weeks for general C&P exam DBQ upload
2.5 weeks for MEB rebuttal to add unfitting condition
3 months for IPEB determination and VA ratings

Additional datapoints:
10/22 - Retirement date
10/22 - DD214 available for download from vMPF and PRDA. Sent to VA via quicksubmit.
10/28 - VA claim finalized!
Glad your claim got finalized so fast after your retirement date!

Did the VA request your DD214 or did you submit it to help speed up the finalization process?

My retirement date was about 3 weeks before yours and my VA claim says it's still at step 5. Wondering if submitting my DD214 would help speed up the process.

Yeah, I was expecting ~35 days. I was instructed by my VA reps and case managers to upload it myself as soon as I got it to speed up the process; it sucks that you didn't get the same instructions! You should absolutely upload it now via quicksubmit.
