Ft Gordon, PTSD IDES Questions

I have been in the Army for almost 5 years now. I had an incident happen at my last duty station 2.5 years ago and have developed Chronic PTSD, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Persistent Depression Disorder, and Adjustment Disorder. Last month my commander has recommended me to be evaluated to get medically discharged. October 27 I was given my P3 status. I'm just wondering what I should expect. What kind of timeline? Is there a site I can look at for the MEB updates? What kind of advice would you give me? With my anxiety I feel like I am clueless and I don't want to mess anything up or get the wrong ideas. What happens after I get my P3?
I have been getting seen for these problems for over two years. Therapy and multiple medications with all negative effects.

There is no site anymore to really track the status. Best bet is to look at the timelines section and see what's up, but expect to be patient.

Once you get your P3, a PEBLO should contact you soon if they haven't already. Once that's done, you'll start paperwork and likely set up a meeting with a VA rep (mine was virtual) to fill out forms needed for the claims process. You'll likely also have legal counsel reach out.

After that's submitted, you'll likely start getting things in the mail from the VA scheduling your C & P exams. These exams will sit you (physically or virtually) in front of a provider to evaluate your conditions you claimed based on evidence in your medical record and information gathered/examined during that meeting.

Once that's compiled, you'll get a Narrative Summary of all of the findings to that point during the process. Once you receive it you have a limited amount of time to concur/appeal with the findings. During that time, consult your legal counsel on the "NARSUM" and decide what route you would like to go.

If you concur with the findings, everything will be submitted to the PEB. Once the PEB has concluded, you'll receive proposed ratings from the VA (all of your claims) and from the branch you are in (the reason you have a 3). If you concur and don't take it any further than that, you'll have new orders cut with a new ETS date.

Do you know how long it usually takes to get a second signature on the P3?

I suggest you get sworn statements from people that are still in (DA Form 2823) that know about the incident. For MEB updates, try (https://cms.mods.army.mil/cms/protected/report/soldierDashboard.aspx). After you get a P3 profile, a medical professional must submit you for unfitting conditions that fail retention standards. If you elect the IDES, all conditions will be evaluated by the VA. The VA and DoD use the same rating scheme, BUT the DoD medboard will only provide ratings on the conditions that preclude you from doing your assigned job.
