I am just starting the process officially. I am starting this thread because there doesn't seem to be too much on here from FT Drum.

Any questions you may have feel free to ask. I just finished up mine at Drum and am enjoying terminal leave right now.

ok great! I posted in a different thread about how I haven't been able to even meet up with a PEBLO and its been 3 months since being recommended. I know every case is different but do you know about how long cases are taking here I have heard 7-9 months and then 12-15 months. and when do I start counting since I was recommended or when I meet my PEBLO?

And congrats on finally getting out!!!

Once your PCM puts your P3 in the system, and gets approved by the profiling officer, your stuff goes to MEB. The MEB secretary then calls you, and will ask you to bring in documentation (OERs, NCOERS, ERB) The MEB Dr takes about a week, and then you receive notification from the PEBLO. Your first PEBLO counseling is usually within a week of that, and the process is off to the turtle races.

I went through this at Fort Drum. Overall I found the process to be very efficient. My guess is the wait in your situation is because your P3 has not been sent forward. What does your ERB say? Have you gone onto AKO>My Medical>My MEB? That will also tell you where in the process you are. Lastly, in the same area, you can check your profile and see if it is perm.

Ranger, that's exactly right. I waited for months and then right after my permanent profile was approved the MEB process started. I'm right at the beginning with my profile being approved last week. I just got my first call from the MEB folks. So far they sound good................................

sniper563 I know during the summer they were down to one MEB doc on Drum so that was causing a huge back up in cases. My case my PA told me he was putting me in for a MEB in February, I saw him next in May for a PHA shortly before my profile was set to expire and told me not to worry about it since I should be getting a P3 shortly. In July I was able to get ahold of my brigade nurse case managers phone number and called and was informed they had push my case to the rear do to the expired profile. From there it took me a few more months to get my P3 and actually start the process do to training rotations. They discuss cases once a month on Drum. I would try and get your brigade case managers phone number and call them and just see whats going on. This seems to have worked for a few people from my unit that went through after I did and were hitting delays.

I'm also at drum currently waiting for ratings. I have heard from multiple people in the med board system they are sitting on any new meb cases and working on the backlog they have due to the doctor shortages.

How quickly after you hit the transpoc list did you start clearing. Is me leaving by end of December a pipe dream? my case is on the raters desk in Providence as of yesterday.

I was actually on leave when my 199 came in and signed it via email. It came in on a Thursday I called transitions on Monday was told I was on the list and that S1 would have my packet the next day. Drove up Tuesday got my packet from S1 filled it out waited four days to get my da31 signed by the BC turned packet in the following Monday to transitions had orders Tuesday by Noon. Cleared all of post minus finance that afternoon. Went to the finance briefing on Wednesday with final finance appt on Thursday and Final out on that Thursday as well. I had already cleared CIF prior to everything coming back so that helped a lot. As soon as the MEB said I was unfit my CoC told me to get a memo from the training room and clear it so I was done with it.

The end of December is viable depending on how quickly the VA finishes your packet. That is the biggest variable your facing right now.

Thanks for the reply, I've already done CIF and Acap just need the paper to get all the signatures on hopefully the va moves quickly but that's like wishing for a million dollars to be handed to you.

Thanks Ranger, I just had another temp profile by a CPT MD hit my eprofiles for some reason, my ako ides sheet says that im not in the system I understand though because I havnt met with a PEBLO and all the other hoopla.

He needs to input it as a P3. After that, it goes to the profiling officer who will either approve, or disapprove. If approved, it will go to the MEB doc and start things rolling. That P3 profile is very important.

Just remember, every case is different so time lines very, make sure you find someone to help you like a rep. from the VFW or Military order of the Purple Heart they are located on Drum and they will help you throughout your case.

Ok ranger after further review lol I seen this at the bottom of the new profile that was just input

This is an auto-generated temporary profile that will expire in 28 days or until the associated perm profile is priorly approved/returned

this profile does not have all my conditions on though and Ive never even met with him???

Is this an issue? If so how would I approach this, as far as Im trackin it doesnt really matter I have all the other profiles although expired the thing that will matter is the NARSUM???

That means you should see your permenant shortly. You will probably get a call from the meb doc too when its fnished.

Your correct the narsum is the big thing that the peb and va will see for ratings. Your narsum will be completed once the va exams are done.

Ill post my timeline later on tonight or tomorrow for comparison with jozzz123s.

I will say the fastest case I've seen was a buddy of mine at Drum. He got really luck and had his ratings by day 90ish from when he started.

ok cool thanks. The only thing I am worried about is if I have to wait another three months for it that's fine, only problem is I am suppose to ETS at the end of February. I am told not to worry I will be extended but I like most of us on here have a family to take care of......again not to worried about the time just want it done properly and fair.

I knew when I was asked about giving up my PLT and pursuing a MEB that I would be in for the long haul.

Patients is key, I've driven myself about crazy trying to figure out when this would all end. I hope things get moving along for you.

Ok so the profile from the mystery CPT MD was then replaced by a civilian MD. Hoping for a call Monday.

How can do I put my timeline at the bottom of what I post?
