Found out my IPEB is done awaiting QC?

I found out today that my IPEB is finished and awaiting quality assurance signatures? Does anyone know how soon the decision is sent out after that? I would assume maybe tomorrow or early next week. Wow, long wait. With the a$$ reaming of chapter 61 vets and no concurrent receipt waiting for me, I guess I'll fight to stay active duty. I have 17.5 years at this point. This assuming I will be given TDRL.

If it is only in-house QA, I would only expect a few days.

Thanks dudes -

I figure I will find out early next week. So shitty I don't know as soon as the decision is made. It is like making rank; wait and wait and maybe you celebrate and maybe you die inside...shite...

Make sure you call the PEBLO within the next week or so and keep a close watch on this, my packet went to the QA for signatures and ended up getting kicked back to the board again, I am still waiting for it to make it back to the QA again.

Update:
I just spoke with the PEBLO this morning and my packet is now back in front of the QA for review again. It took 2 weeks to get it back up for QA review after it was kicked back to the board by the QA process originally.

That sux I expected an answer very soon. Unfortunately my PEBLO is with the air force and doesn't know crap.

Try not to get too down, the PEBLO here at Balboa said that typically once the record has made it to the QA process there are no more updates until they recieve it for signatures and approval/disapproval by the service member. So you record could be mailed out or just beginning, unfortunately the PEBLO's don't know until they recieve it or the PEB board updates further for some reason.

No, I really wish I did though. All the PEBLO told me was that it "could be good or bad, hope it's good"... talk about being absolutely useless when you are already stressed about the thing. I am just keeping my fingers crossed and hoping it got kicked back because they tried to rank it lower than the VA would, I am in the Pilot Program so there is no telling for sure.

I just spoke with my Voc Rehab counselor this morning and she was able to show me the timeline that my record has been going through in D.C. Appearently when my packet went for the final signatures they authorizer did not like the wording or rating that the VA assigned to, so it was sent back to be reworked, now it has been back to the final authorizer again for review and final approval so it can be sent back to me. So I am crossing my fingers for mid-November but I have learned not to hold my breathe.

On a side note, it's nice to actually work with some of these issues with people who actually care and are not just doing it because it's their job...

I had my command check my status again today, and it still say's in QC. They said that status is updated every monday (I take that with a grain of salt) so it won't change this week. I am not going through the pilot program so my VA stuff will have to wait for awhile. I am hoping to hear something soon I want to be done and go back to work as a silly- villain.

They told me that once it is shown as QA in their system that it will stay that way until it is in my hands and I accept or reject... but with the way things are in this process I just nod my head and smile like I am talking to a rambling old man.

I just got my results today, so it only took a week to get them from the time it was signed off by the final QA authority and approver.

Once the QA was done it seemed to happen quickly. I hope you got what you wanted and deserved my friend...
Jim
