Fort Lewis PEB

Update:

Got a message from the PEB in Lewis that my DA199 was ready to be reviewed. Called back and talked to the lady who pulled up my file, only to discover that it wasn't actually my DA199 that was ready, but that my file had gotten stuck in another Soldier's file and I was called by mistake. The lady, after reviewing my record said my case should be done already and would be calling me back to confirm with me what was going on.

Strike up another one for the JBLM team!

When you say you got a message from the PEB for your DA199, do you mean an email or call directly from the PEB at Lewis and not your PEBLO?
 
My packet was finished by the VA but part was sent back for confirmation from their doctor and it has now been ten days, does anyone know naything about this and how long it could take?

I received a message on my cell phone from the PEB team, not my PEBLO (who is still tasked out until 03 August).

These seem to be two different things. It was either finished, or it is in the gathering evidence phase (getting confirmation from your doctor). Call your VA MSC representative (the one you should have worked through for your NARSUM and to get your VA C&P exams scheduled through. The VA MSC rep can tell you if your packet has come back from the VA to the PEB yet.
 
Exceptionally good news from my counseling! 60% PDRL 90%VA, bad side they said no on combat related... They actually said I was stable and bam... Everyone from PEBLO to lawyers were like wth?!?! So I am going to just avoid the combat related so I keep my PDRL. Told me to be ready to start seperating in less than 2 weeks. Too fast for my plans, but hell with it....

On a cell right now, will do best.

Army unfit claims:
Major Depressive Disorder w/ Anxiety Disorder 50%
Bi-lat stress fractures 10% each foot with multiplier comes to 20%
Total 60% permanent

Va unfitting claims:
PTSD & Depression 50%???? It is same claim army said mmd and anxiety lol
Posterior tibial syndrome left foot 10%
Posterior tibial syndrome right foot 10%

Va service connected claims:
Cognitive disorder due to tbi 40%
Chronic strain left ankle w/ shin splint 20%
Chronic strain right ankle w/ shin splint 10%
Chronic strain of back 10%
Bilat tinnitus 10%
Dermaophytosis (eczima) 10%
Bilat TMJ 10%
Tendonitis right elbow 0%
Migraine headaches 0% gonna fight this one...
Lingual nerve damage (dental) 0%


Not related military service by va:
Hearing loss (proof of damage at range- no loss of hearing yet)
Positive ppd (no disibility if inactive)

Va total 90%

I was told by legal that i may be eligible for crsc and won't hurt to apply for it.
 
I finally got some answers yesterday. They showed me on the system that my packet is at vote number 2. My preliminary VA MEMO was done on JULY 2, 2012. I am trying to get a copy of it. I think this is the biggest mistake they make. I asked yesterday am I not entitled to the memo, so they directed me to contact another office and she said she will try to help but could not find the memo. So she has to send an email to the POC for the memo. Its one big circle. So based off what i know now, it sounds like they found me unfit. Does anyone know how the 3 member vote works and how long each one of them take.

Where is your packet being rated at? That may help on a timeline answer.
 
Tell me why my Peblo is telling me it will take 1-2 months for PEB to finalize my % and type up my 199? Does that sound right to any of you. VA sent my ratings back to JBLM on 22 May and PEB recieved 2 July.

In theory that would be correct...however it seems based on either timelines in here and from what my PEBLO told me is that it is taking 4-6 weeks from reciept at PEB back to PEBLO for signing of DA199. Mine was sent from VA to PEB on 15 June and still no word. However each case is different, perhaps PEB didn't agree with VA rating and sent it back etc.... Last my PEBLO told me was I should be signing it on 27 June it was typed just waiting for signature and haven't heard anything since.

Evidently this was bad and they put my case next in line to be finished and it was done later that day.

03 Jan 2011 - Hospitalized for Injury, informed MEB/PEB action would be intiated
28 Jul 2011 - MEB formally initiated, C&P exams conducted
24 Nov 2011 - NARSUM Dicated over phone to PA at JBLM
10 Jan 2012 - One year after injury, NARSUM completed.
17 Jan 2012 - Signed NARSUM and returned to PEBLO after review by counsel
23 Mar 2012 - PEB decides unfit, forwards to VA for rating
02 May 2012 - VA finishes preliminary ratings
18 Jun 2012 - VA finalizes ratings (turns out they went back and forth between 30% and 60%, settling on 30%)
12 July 2012 - PEB office acknowledges receipt, busy typing ratings
16 July 2012 - PEB finishes ratings and DA199, sends to me for review
18 July 2012 - Conduct counseling with PEBLO for DA199, sign and return to JBLM
TBD - Orders
TBD - Final Out

Hopefully this gives some more of a timeline for people going through Lewis / JBLM.

When you say they went back and forth between the ratings of 30%-60% are you talking about the VA and PEB board or just the VA internally before they sent it to the PEB board?
