I have been in the VA rating for about 60 days now and am getting concerned. I have seen others process through this phase in just a few weeks. I am curious if there are others dealing with the same situation.

Recently my ebenefits went from pending decision to review of evidence. Thoughts??

Check your historical claims and see if they closed the original claim. If they did then your proposed ratings are complete, and they opened another claim waiting for DD214 to close claim completely. If not, they may have went back to look at some of your medical records.

Thank you to everyone that has replied. I am sorry to see there are others in the same boat. I can only imagine there are more out there. The waiting game really does stink and the unknown is driving me mad. I understand there are some that wait for years for a response and I am fortunate to be receiving a paycheck during this process. I will try to remain sane for the foreseeable future and hope that everyone's case is resolved soon as well.

I wonder why some cases are resolved in a few weeks and others take months.

I wanted to post some updated information. My VA case has been successfully closed as of 24 Mar 2017. My VA claim took 72 days and I was highly displeased. I probably would not be so upset but I have seen others complete this step in less than 20 days.

Anywho, about two weeks ago I reached out to my PEBLO and VA rep to find information on why my case was taking so long. I was informed that the reason for the delay is the VA needed to request additional information from my C&P Doc. They claim this is a normal step especially when the exams are not done at the VA. (All my appointments were done with QTC providers) They also informed me that my entry physical was missing a page. They stated they had only the first 3 pages of the 4 stated at the bottom of the form. My DD 2807-1 and DD 2808 had page 1 of 4, 2of 4, 3of 4 on the bottom of the documents. When googling what the forms looked like I found that these documents were only 3 pages long not 4. I am assuming they were missing the instruction page... Anyways my VA rep put a note in my file that the pages did not exist on May 19 and my case is now closed.

My advice for anyone that has been waiting for 60days to reach out to their reps and request detailed information as I did. When I receive the detailed information about the hold up I did feel better.

Also, this morning I checked my ebenifits this morning and saw that it moved from pending decision back to review of evidence. After a brief period of my blood boiling, I checked vets.gov and it said my case was closed as of May 24.

I know there has been different information about how people know their claims were finished on this website so I wanted to share my experience.

I'm out of Ft Lee, I started everything 20 Dec, MEB- 9MAR17, IPEB- 5MAY17, VA Rating- 23MAY. And now back in the holding pattern. Haven't been able to reach my PEBLO is the last two weeks. Mr. Call did confirm that my proposed VA rating is in the system, but he stated that it would take a month before the DOD percentage comes in. I'm not in a real rush at this point, but I hate that I still have trouble reaching the PEBLO via phone or email even after a ICE complaint, and follow up with the Lt that heads Patient Admin.

It can definitely be a frustrating process. who is your peblo? You can PM if you don't wanna put her on blast.

Let me know when you get your rating back if you will. I am trying to hold onto hope it will be quicker than a month.

Im active duty. It took 91 days for my VA rating and I'm currently on the PEB findings stage. My case was initiated 27SEP2016. So its a waiting game.

So after I looked at the dashboard this morning I was happy and upset. Happy because I see that peb findings were complete. I was upset because it was complete on the 30th of MAY and I had yet to hear from the PEBLO. So I decided to drive to Ft Lee, which is about an hour and a half from me to talk to my PEBLO face to face if not her someone was going to give me answers. Upon meeting with her she asked what the dashboard showed and I told her that everything was complete on the 30th, and she with a stupid look of I messed up says did I not call you last week? REALLY LADY? REALLY? Well the good thing is I signed the 199 today, and watched it be sent up. I am happy with and understand my percentages as I was referred for one condition and that percentage was carried over so DOD-50% and VA-100%. Attaching screenshot of dashboard as well.

So next update in the crazy process. I am currently on leave for a wedding, but now I wish I wasn't. I know my mom doesn't want to hear that since its her wedding but I started leave on 13 July, and I just checked my email to see that at 1645 on 13 July retirement services emailed me stating that I need to report there in the next 72 hours to start my retirement process as my date will be 10 OCT 2017 which lines up almost perfectly with my leave days. I will take the hit on a few just to ensure I end before the end of the month, and FY. So DA199 was signed on 6JUNE2017, and 13JULY2017 contacted by retirement services.

Still waiting for the VA to finish. Today is day 78.
