- I started the IDES process August 2025, I’ve

- had my NARSUM since October 2025. P3 originally was for Major Depression disorder(MDD)

- when I got my NARSUM apparently I was also diagnosed for PTSD during C&P exams and they added a P3 for PTSD to my NARSUM with an amended profile to reflect both diagnoses.

- Couldn’t submit my NARSUM to PEB untill April 29th, 2026. (I had a 12 month long SUSPENDED Administrative Separation flag since April 2025 due to an AR15 last year. so I was flagged for 12 months for probation purposes and PEBLO wouldn’t submit my NARSUM to PEB until the flag was lifted)

- had my proposed VA rating since February 13th, 2026

- My flag was lifted April 28th, 2026

- NARSUM submitted to PEB April 29th, 2026
- received DA 199. 100% VA ,70% DOD June 18th, 2026
- Signed DA 199 June 18th, 2026

When will I receive my orders to leave this true desert wasteland ??? How long from PEB did it take you all to Receive your Orders ?

I am laughing at your Titanic joke because that's exactly how it feels!
I have no idea when you'll get your orders. My MEB file was sent a couple weeks ago to the PEB so I'm still waiting.
I can't provide advice but I can provide solidarity! Happy for you though. End is in sight.

Lolll yeah, the waiting game is killing me. They’re saying fort Irwin is having a wait when generating orders because ever since the shut down they’ve been low staffed. Smh so I’m just wishing and praying that something shakes.

One of the Pueblo’s from IDES over the phone. I had asked her how long should it take for me to get my orders, she said normally only a few days, but as of lately they’re short staffed and taking longer than normal so she wasn’t able to tell me exactly when I’d get them…. I’m tryna stay strong but man, idk the place really messed up my head I’m really over it.

UPDATE: went to transitions today (June 29th 2026) they handed me a paper and said that commander need to fill it out and email it pack to them. Went to my commander he and I filled out the form and then emailed it back to transitions. Transitions told me now they can generate my orders and that I need to look out for a email from transitions (government email) ….

An hour later I got a phone call from “Army retirement/transition processing office(ARTP) associated with Fort Huachuca” stating that they’ve submitted my retirement packet to Fort Irwin Transitions and that “when fort Irwin generates my orders make sure my admin data is correct on the orders, make sure my retirement date is correct on the orders, and my sure my Official DD214 data is correct and that it states I’m 100% VA , 70% DOD and Permanent.

Right now I just got an email to my personal email from (ARTP) stating roughly the same things we went over the phone. I’ll attatch the email….

****KEY POINT*** go to fort Irwin transitions center and on that paper you get, it asks you for a “separation” date make sure you and your commander come up with a date that’s good for you before he emails it back to them… I recommend putting a date that’s like “02 MONTH YEAR”….. so that you can collect last Army paycheck, since it’s probably going to be 30 days before your Retirement pay hits.

It doesn’t have to be your exact commander, it’s who ever he delegated to be the acting commander while he’s away, and that date is what ever you and the commander decide to put on that paper and on your DA31.

But based off the email it really depends on if you’re taking Transition Administrative leave, or terminal leave, or both.

For me I requested my Separation date to be 03 AUG 26 since I burned my leave days so I won’t be taking terminal leave.

That Transitions Administrative leave is free/uncharitable leave of 20 days, I decided to only put in 10.

So I submitted my leave to Start on July 24th, 2026-August 02, 2026 (in conjunction with my requested seperation date of August 03, 2026.

The reason I did this is because apparently you have to be finaled-out/ cleared before the start of that Transition Administrative leave. So that gives me from the time my orders are cut and received, to the start of that Transition Administrative Leave to clear.(you can clear fort Irwin in at least 3 days)

Remember, you also have to submit a DA31 form to transitions in order to get your orders from them as well.

I went to Transitions, but they sent me back to my commander without any paperwork stating he should have it. I recently asked my commander, and he said he has not received any paperwork regarding my orders.

Do you happen to know the form?

Smh. They are the only ones in the whole army that are operating like this I swear smh. Apparently transitions has had my PDIR since June 22nd, 2026.

But yes it’s that paper right next to the sign in paper at transitions…. In and email they label it as transitions RFO

That email they’re saying your commander already has is the RFO,

your PDIR(Has your separation/retirement date on it),

A medical counseling(needs to be signed by you and your commander)(basically you requesting to be separated on a specific date that isn’t on your PDIR),

and a worksheet for retired pay….

I’ll attach some photos below. I won’t be uploading the PDIR because it has my personal info on it…

When ever you actually receive this, make sure your commander emails them your approved leave form with your LES, along with all this stuff signed.

UPDATE: I think today is the day that I may finally receive my orders even though transitions has had my PDIR since June 22nd, 2026.

It’s kind of frustrating because it’s almost as if Transitions sits on giving you your Orders until you initiate contact with them… and even then they’ll turn you away saying that basically your commander is the one that should have all of the paperwork they need to generate your orders… and that he’s the one that will receive your orders for you. Like….. is my commander the one that is retiring or is it me ?

but it’s like I’m the one that actually has to put my information on it, so why wouldn’t you coordinate with me? Why send it to the person who has a million things in their email already and barely wanting to check those?

IDK, wish me luck. I’m expecting something today hopefully!

UPDATE:
Orders Received today - July 9th, 2026

Pick up my clearing papers - July 13th, 2026

Separation date - August 3rd, 2026

Retirement List - August 4th, 2026
(Retiring at the next rank up since I hold my promotable status)
