Below is my MEB timeline, this has been a long drag out process so far and I didn't even add how long it took for my unit to medically extend me. Please share your timelines also. I am hoping I can receive military orders to start clearing sometime in January 2012.

Fort Gordon MEB process so far
05/23/2011- Army doctor referred me to MEB
06/30/2011- PEBLO initial counseling/ commander notified
07/26/2011- VA claim filed
08/22/2011- QTC appointment
08/26/2011- QTC appointment
08/27/2011- QTC appointment
09/14/2011- VA has claim and QTC exams
09/14/2011- meet with doctor to complete narsum
09/29/2011- case with MEB
10/21/2011- MEB determines I have 7 medical conditions which is incompatible with continued military service
11/03/2011- I am counseled on MEB
11/09/2011- MEB forwarded to PEB
11/14/2011- the date Fort Sam Houston said they received PEB
Now I am just waiting on the PEB decision.

I'm at Fort Gordon also. The disparity between the timelines are crazy. There are a couple of guys in my unit that started month/s before me, and I'm ahead of them. Here's mine.

17 April 2011 - referred to MEB
7 July 2011 - Initial PEBLO Counseling/CDR notified
27 July 2011 - MEB Stopped pending optimal treatment (QTC appointments began)
Late Aug 2011 - QTC appointments
19 Sep 2011 - MEB Physician Appointment
18 Oct 2011 - MEB with Signatures Returned to PEBLO
16 Nov 2011 - NARSUM review with PEBLO (16 conditions, 8 unfit, 3 bilateral)
17 Nov 2011 - Appointment with Soldier's Counsel
29 Nov 2011 - Request IMR
1 Dec 2011 - IMR

waiting patiently...

I see you have bilateral conditions, which may work out good for you. Yes the timelines are crazy because I know someone that started in July and they are already in the transition phase as we speak. I went through a lot of stress and anger with my unit during my MEB and I am at the point that I just want my results and just leave the Army but at the same time I hope my ratings are fair so I don't have to appeal my results. They have already downgraded my PTSD to MDD to Depressive Disorder (NOS) which I don't really understand the difference between MDD and NOS. Speaking with a VA rep over the phone, she told me they look at the overall medical history along with PEB findings and if in my records I was diagnosed with PTSD, it is possible I will be rated for it. Even if the VA psych doc said my diagnosis is MDD. I don't know how true this is but I guess I have to see what happens. I am really interested in how they going to rate Depressive Disorder NOS since I have multiple depressive disorders that don't meet a specific category.

I am also at Fort Gordon. My meb process started out fast, timely and has gotten really slow, really fast. Below is my timeline:

Hurt my back in November 2010, went through a barrage of two week profiles, motrin, physical therapy (twice) and chiropractic. finally got a xray in late July, a mri in early August.

August 5 received a P3 for my back and a referral for MEB.
Sep. 15 initial peblo counseling
Sep 20-Oct 1 QTC appointments completed
Oct 13th met with MEB doctor to go over my condition and do my narsum

Since then my narsum has been out for signatures... All my peblo will tell me is that it is out for signatures still. I have been looking for answers about the narsum portion and the timeline for it... I feel like my peblo cannot answer me in an educated manner and seems to have no idea where my paperwork is.

Well at least you guys seem on the right track! My husband's timeline is just ridiculous!

Referred to MEB June 2009
Received MEB paperwork packet August 2009
Submiited May 2010 but was refused without a physical (per 81st RSC)
Was finally able to submit packet Dec 2010 without physical (again 81st RSC different case worker)
Packet came to MTF to sit for 30 days only to be remanded back to Florida per new pilot program Feb 2011
Received call from PEBLO July 05, 2011.
QTC appointment August 19 and 27 2011.
QTC appointment Sept 2011.
MEB with approving signatures returned to PEBLO Dec 08, 2011.
Status now says awaiting NARSUM dictation.

Anyone have any thoughts on this? I've been trying to contact the PEBLO, but she doesn't respond to emails and hasn't returned my calls. Not sure how much longer this whole process will take. Would really like an idea of what to expect next. If we already have approving signatures does this mean it's ready for PEB? Why have we not received a phone call? Any suggestions or comments greatly appreciated!

that is one insane time-line dating back to 2009????? so much for the one-year expectancy.

11/14/2011- the date Fort Sam Houston said they received PEB
11/26/2011- PEB findings unfit and sent to VA (I was never notified that the PEB found me unfit, I had to call my PEBLO to find out)
12/02/2011- VA has my packet and started the rating process
12/23/2011- VA rep said my ratings are complete and I have a proposed rating. (Ebenefits status changed to pending decision approval)
12/30/2011- VA sent proposed ratings back to the PEB in Fort Sam
01/05/2011- I am told that my PEBLO can call me any day now to review ratings.

It is hard getting updated information from my PEBLO. My AKO has not been updated since 11/14/2011. After you know your case has been sent from the PEB to the VA, I would advise you to call the VA to get a more detail answer to where your case is at the time.

Update:
5 Jan 2012 - Met PEBLO Signed NARSUM post-IMR to send to PEB

@hallad1974 About 2 months for rating from the time you signed the NARSUM?

That is about right 2 months after I signed my completed MEB on 11/03/2011 but I think it depends on your case too. How many claims, the length of claims in medical history, if more evidence is needed and the amount of days the PEBLO and VA reps sit on your packet before sending it off. It is a waiting game and mines just can't come fast enough.

My packet just got signed by the commander and sent back to the MEB clerk, now I just have to wait for the PEBLO to type up the NARSUM so i can review it. Going 4 months into the program so far.

I was MEB from Ft. Gordon (Eisenhower) in 2006. The overall process took about 14 months. Sep 2005-Dischaged Nov 26, 2006. I am in the process of a PDBR because I received 0% with severance. Good luck!
