*Left Sciatica (20% PEB-stable)
*Major Depressive Disorder/Specific Phobia (50% PEB-Unstable - TDRL list)

*Sleep apnea w/ CPAP 50%
*Left shoulder arthritis 20%
*Tinnitis 10%
*benign lipomas 10%

Really? It feels like it is taking forever. Not sure what happens next other than meeting with my PEBLO July 31 to "close the loop on the MEB" and set me up with an appointment with the VA rep and retirement services. I don't really know the time frame here but hoping it's not too long. Just moved my family back to my HOR to settle in before school starts and would like to join them soon.
 
Let me put it to you this way. My PEBLO received my package back in early December. I'm still waiting and she doesn't tell me shit where i'm even at in the process. I think i'm in the IPEB stage but as I said she doesn't tell me shit. There are people that are worse off then I am also.
 
How'd you get those ratings in like 5 weeks? Shit, it took 6 weeks for them just to send my exams back to Bragg.

If everything continues the same way, you'll be outta here by school time.

Who's your PEBLO? I'm making a switch lol.

My PEBLO is Ms. Compton. Honestly the longest part seemed to be getting my exams completed. Once I completed my last exam and the medical reports were finished, I had my NARSUM back pretty quickly. I called and emailed my PEBLO several times for updates and called the PEB/VA a couple of times to make sure they had my packet. I wanted to make sure it didn't get lost in transit. I tried not to be a pain or bother them too much but when my AKO tracker went past the goal date, I made sure to call to find out why. I have heard hitting the TRANSPOC list after submitting the signed 199 could take 6-8 weeks. I am hoping thats not the case.
 
Supposedly, yes, PDA is backlogged. I've seen people getting through in fewer than 6-8 weeks though. I think it's part luck and part persistence to talk to the right person.

I'm waiting on my NARSUM now, shouldn't be much longer. Just hoping to be done by the end of the year really. I've been a constant pain to deal with, but there are job opportunities flying by left and right.
 
So I got an email from my PEBLO. I hit the TRANSPROC list today. She forwarded a form to me with my final out date set as OCT. 30. I really need that date to be sooner. As of right now I have 15 days of leave and my commander will approve 20 days PTDY. Can you change your final out date? I plan to go to retirement services tomorrow for orders. Will they be able to adjust the dates? I am really hoping to be out of here way before late September to join my family in Texas.

I think the date they gave you is a no later then date, seems to be 90 days to give you time to clear and take leave. I think they should be able to move it to the left if you don't need to max out your leave and PTDY.
 
UPDATE:
Met with retirement services this morning to work on getting my orders. I am not sure if its a Fort Bragg thing or an Army wide thing, but I cannot start my leave for 30 days after hitting TRANSPROC. I was told they have to give me 30 days to clear post. So I start terminal leave Aug 31 and my final out date is October 9. I have to go through an SBP brief and meet with the VA rep still. Once my orders come in, I can attend the transportation brief and schedule the movers. Looks like once I hurry through these couple of things, it'll be a whole lot of waiting until I am on leave and can head home to my family.

Well, you hit TRANSPROC in less than two weeks, so that supports my PEBLO's assertion that PDA is catching up. It certainly could be worse.

I am planning to sell back as much of my leave as possible should I have an active job offer at the time. Or, alternately, I will just hang out in North Carolina and use every bit of my leave if I don't have a job. Choices, choices...

Seriously though. I hate this state. I hope it's the first scenario.

Hope this helps. I attached what my PEBLO sent to me. Page 4 of the milper message has an example and I also attached the counseling that I took to transition to adjust my out date.

Seems that everything is happening fast now. I have cleared CIF, got my orders, attended transportation brief, scheduled transportation, have a date to attend the mandatory pre-retirement brief (next week) and then an appointment to meet with the VA rep (also next week!) This will be my final "Hurry up and wait" in the Army! I will hurry to clear post and tie up all of the lose ends, only to have to wait until I can pick up my DD214 Aug. 30 and go on terminal leave Aug 31. In hindsight, this process went a lot faster than I expected.

Did the Informal PEB and VA ratings happen simultaneously for you? I'm currently sitting at 27 for the Informal PEB?

My case hit the PEB today. My PEBLO is adamant that PEB has cleared its backlog and ratings are coming back in 3-4 weeks now. Supposedly the VA is rating cases in advance right after the C&P exams now so that if the PEB finds a SM unfit, all they have to do is a final review and send the ratings back. Perhaps a good idea gets through every now and then.

PDA is also supposedly almost caught up, which, judging by @mikeacox76 timeline, may actually be true. I'll update as my case moves to verify how accurate these claims are from my experience.
