Foot and ankle rated seperate or considered same?

I have been diagnosed with Achilles tendonitis and plantar fasciitis. Just went to my C&P exam, the ankle DQB and foot DQB were both used. Notes for the plantar fasciitis referred to the ankle DQB for descriptions of the problems. My questions are:

Will I be rated on foot and ankle separately?

If so, does each foot/ankle get rated separately? Such as 10% L and 10% R, and then if they are rated high enough will the bilateral factor then play a role?

If so again, if they are rated 10% each foot, then will that be used in the bilateral which would result in a 20% rating for the feet combined or no?

Thanks so much in advance for any info.

Not 100% certain, but as they are seperate body parts they should be rated separately. As my bi-lateral shoulders were. However the VA can and does rate things with a 0% and there is a convoluted system that deducts each rating for 10+10 does not equal 20. As a general rule they normally take the highest rating first and subtract it from 100% ie if you have one item that is rated as 20% then its deducted from the 100% so you are not only a 80% person. If you have additional ratings then the next highest is subtracted from the 80% not from 100% so say you had the 20% and a 10%. Since the 20 took you down to 80 the 10 is taken off the 80 so you only get 8% not 10%. So you are now an 72% person thus you total disability is only 28%.
Or in your example of 10% and 10% its only a 19% rating not 20%. Though at these lower percentages they just round it off to 20% most of the time. But that is the jist of it.

If all my rated injuries where added up I would have over 200% rating. Thus the need for the odd math.

Are you already in the MEB/PEB process?

Are you already in the MEB/PEB process?

Yes, I am currently in the MEB process. My concern is mostly whether I will receive compensation for the feet combined with the ankles or will I receive compensation for feet and ankles.

Separate ratings for foot and ankle. Bilateral conditions will be rated as such.
