I found out on 26 Jun I was on the list from PDA, I did my counseling 26 Jun. I submitted my terminal leave form and PTDY the same day. My leave and PTDY were approved today, they are working on my orders as I type. My last day in uniform is 27 Jul then I have 5 days of terminal leave followed by 30 days of PTDY. My official retirement date is 31 Aug 2012. We are so excited. I turn in CIF next week, and we are already working every angle we can to get as much done as soon as we can so the last days are not so hectic. Funny thing is my first P3 profile was written Aug of 2011, 1 year ago this August. WHat a long process, it seemed like it would never end.
For those still in the process never lose hope, know where your packet is at all times. Don't hesitate to ask your packet status, the squeaky wheel gets the grease.

Sean, I got my orders today. I'm done, final out next Friday, then Terminal Leave until OCT retirement. Thanks for the assistance.

If you went through the ACAP process, you should have received info regarding Voc Rehab. If you have not, then you should do so ASAP. There is a ton of good information that is given out at those briefings. I would also recommend that you take your spouse or significant other if you have one because they need to know a lot of this information as well. Good luck!

You should be able to call or email your PEBLO at any time with questions. If he/she blows you off, you can then go talk to the MEB attorneys and/or your patient advocate and they will get some results. Just sitting there waiting will definitely not get your stuff done in a timely manner...you have to harass them sometimes....sad, but true.

That quote was in the past, all the PEBLOs on Ft. Lewis are now back to work... Since signing my 199 I haven't needed to talk to a PEBLO since.

I'm wondering if anybody can give me some info. I am a Army Soldier who was told today that my packet was sent to the PEB in Sam Houston Aug 3. How long is the process after that? Also my PEBLO told me that they found unfit in which my packet was sent Apr 13 2012 to the PEB. Any info on this will be greatly appreciated. Ebenfits says my claim is still under review. It was in Pending decision approval then went back.

Contact your PEBLO immediately and let them know that it was sent back to PEB with out being rated, sounds like the VA didn't get some info needed and is scheduling an appointment for you again.
 
I apogolize left some info out I have a rating from va my Peblo told that proposed rating just curious how long it takes when it goes back to Peb and I get a copy

The VA did my proposed ratings in mid-July, I got a copy through my Veteran Service Officer. If you don't have one get with DAV, VFW, AL...

The VA will not send it to you. You get a copy of it with your 199, so officially plan on 2-3 months.

Really wish the AF had the MyMEB/PEB thing. I hope mine doesn't take long. Just signed the paperwork today for it to get sent to the IPEB on Monday

No kidding. I was told AFPC has 120 days once they receive the package. So I'm hoping they stick with the timeframe I was given
