What does fit but unsuitable mean? and what will they do with you?

From the one Limdu person that I worked with that got out from the Navy it was because he was found fit, but not world wide assignable ie no IA billets or nonconus billets. He then had the choice to stay in, cross rate, and possibly go surface or a shore comand, or seperate. He chose on his on to seperate because he was limited in his assignability. He was a nuke though, and is making more outside in a civilin nuke job then what he was making as an E-6.
If you've been found fit but unsuitable, I'd bring it to maparker's attention. He's working to bring to light how unethical this is.
"Fit but unsuitable" is a term I use to describe the problem. I don't think you will find DoD or the Services using this term.
In essence, it is a situation, mostly within the Navy/Marine Corps, where an individual is deemd fit by his PEB and then adiministratively discharged becuase the condition prevents them from performing their job.
It is basically a way around paying disability benefits due under 10 USC 1201-1222.
Yes, I want to hear about all cases like this as I am fighting to get it exposed and corrected.
