Findings Received from PEB

I just got the ratings back fropeblom my PEBLO. I recieved 10% for DOD and 80% from the VA. My question is that all of the findings from the VA say Gulf War Incurred on them. Does this mean that I will not have to pat the severance back or does it need to say something else?

How many years do you have in? I don't think I would accept 10% if you are dating back to the Gulf War, but that's based on not knowing your situation and conditions.

I thought it was weird that it said Gulf War as I have only been since 2004. (8.5 Years)

This really sounds hinky, me thinks that they got you confused with someone else on the paperwork....

They lump OEF/OIF into the Gulf War category. Probably due to it being the same region for all the conflicts, or tehy are just too lazy to create another category/registry.They did the same for me when they did my Gulf War Illness exam for my lung damage from Balad in 2006. FWIW, ensure that you request to get on the Gulf War Registry.

I don't think so, they grouped me for OIF/OEF....

Grizz- I agree that they probably linked you to OEF/OIF (as they did me), but (AFAIK), the most recent registry they have now if for the GW, thus them lumping OEF/OIF injured members into the GW registry. Not really completely relevant to the OP's first post, but something to consider for future treatment, etc.

What branch of service? (It doesn't matter for the outcome, it will just help to identify where you need to look for the answer).

For severance not to be recouped, the unfitting condition needs to have incurred or aggravated in a combat zone or during a combat related operation.
