Findings are back....

Well, looks like my findings are back. Sat with my PEBLO yesterday afternoon and this is what I got:

Unfit to continue service, placed on TDRL with 30% for:
Congenital Cervical Stenosis with Myelopathy, Chronic pain and Decreased ROM (ROM is less than 15)

VA rating - 80%

I am happy with the outcome, but have some questions before I sign anything. Just waiting on the JAG and VA rep to call me back. If you have questions about the process, please let me know and I will see if I can answer them for you. Below is my timeline of events:

Sep 09 - Fell and dislocated my shoulder. Referred to Ortho and Physical Therapy
Oct 09 - Still no change in condition. Back to Ortho.
Nov 09 - First MRI ordered.
Dec 09 - MRI results showed severe stenosis in the C3-C7 levels. Referred to Madigan Neurosurgery.
Jan 10 - First appointment with Neuro and placed on LIMDU.
March 10 - First surgery (C3-C7 hinge laminoplasty) 5 days in the hospital and 6 months on con leave.
Jul 10 - Second LIMDU initiated.
Jan 11 - Med board initiated locally, however, had to wait until my daughter was born to proceed.
Mar 11 - Daughter born, NMA signed by CO.
May 11 - 2nd surgery performed.
Jun 11 - NARSUM signed and VA claims initiated.
Jul 11 - QTC appointments.
Sep 11 - Package sent to DC for board.
Jan 12 - Received findings.
(Hopefully) Apr 12 - End of service.

Thank you to all who answered questions for me and thank you to Mike and Jason for creating this site. It has helped me deal with all of the craziness that is the Med Board process!

Congrats! Being on the TDRL you will get 50% which is a good thing. Make sure you keep good documentation of all your medical appointments so when your re eval comes, you are prepared.

And yes, this is one of the best sites on the net. I have learned so much.
 
congrats about time! i have been waiting on orders for 2 weeks...
 
I spoke with PSD and Kathy yesterday. It sounds like it is taking PERS FOREVER to release messages. Like 4 weeks. It sucks, cause if you are leaving the area, you can't get Household goods done until you have orders and the orders won't get done until the message comes back. Just try to get as much stuff done as you can, so that when your message does come back, you will be good and not have to check out in 30 minutes! LOL.
 
ive done as much as i could...i could check out in 10 minutes! im thinking this week or next ill have orders.....i hope
