FINALLY!

well my MEB came back (submitted mid march). it came back 60% perm combined 40% back and 30% pain/anxiety. kind of a screwy rating. they did not address my OSA or neuro issue. i'm already getting 60% from the VA without my back and that's for PTSD: 50% and tinnitus: 10%.

i already have appeals in w/the VA and i'm still waiting on my back, neuro and OSA ratings to come back. so @ this point w/it coming back perm, i just don't have the fight in me. maybe a few years ago i would have, but i already get SS and a civ fed. pension. so i guess i'll just appeal through the VA.

it only took them since nov 2007 to get back w/a rating, so i guess it could be worse.

Congrats Tucci!

I have a couple questions...did they(IPEB) not give you a rating (i.e Fitting) on the OSA or what?

I'm trying to figure out what's going to happen with my package when it comes back. Did the IPEB give you any rating at all for it or say it was fitting? Was it submitted to the IPEB? Same questions with PTSD...were these submitted to the IPEB and just not acknowledged or were you given a fit on it?

Long overdue, congrats on the permanent retirement!

I'm glad that portion of your journey is finally over--now you can focus on the VA. There's not much fight left in me either. I was just told I have to redo my MEB physical and new narratives need to be written up as well. I still don't know if this means I'll go back to the end of the queue or whether they'll put me at the head of the line.

Congratulations! You have well earned your retirement, enjoy. And, continued thanks for your helping others here as a Moderator and sharing your experiences. I know that many people have been helped by your posts.

Tucci,

At long last you are seeing some benefit from your struggle. I admire your determination and courage and hope this decision brings you some closure witht he military. The MEB perm is about as good as you will get from them I think and why risk somebody shooting down the 60% pn an appeal. As youhave so often said, stay strong. Good luck

Congrats on your much deserved retirement! :) Can I ask if they addressed your spinal cord stimulator or was your back based on range of motion only?

Good luck with the appeal!
