My VFW rep said there are notes in the report from the VA saying there was not sufficient testing done to judge range of motion for my back.... I haven't heard anything from my PEBLO (of course she is out on Mandatory training until Monday)... Nothing from the VA either on scheduling this appointment. I am unsure of what to do, I'm not sure if they ever received that information or what happened... All I know is my packet is still at the VA.

Is there anyone I can call to try and schedule an appointment? I call the 1800 number and cant get through.

I was found unfit in Oct. My packet went to VA for ratings 7 Nov. The above information is what I got today after speaking with my VFW rep. So, I am not really sure of which test he is talking about....

The ROM would have happened during your C&P evaluation, the physical exam you had right after you started the MEB.

Well I guess they didnt do a range of motion for my back... and now its sitting at the VA, all they had to do was tell me that and schedule me a new appointment.... but I have no idea if they may have gotten the information they needed or not...

If it was a referred condition, they will schedule an appointment to do a reexam (before forwarding their findings to the PEB). If it is just a VA issue (I have a couple of these), they will schedule an appointment several months from now.

I also had a couple conditions that the reviewer asked for additional info from the examiner. After several months, I haven't seen the specifics on the question, nor answer. I talked to my MSC, he is a horse's a.., and wouldn't tell me the specifics, but said that the "reviewer got everything he asked for." I will find out the results on these when I get my final findings.

This is a VA issue. I would bug your MSC, not the PEBLO. The MSC is supposed to coordinate the VA's efforts.

I just waited on hold for 40 minutes but got to speak with someone who was surprisingly helpful at the 1800 number. The rep there said all the medical evaluations seem to be in order and that my claim is in the development phase (i thought i heard development phase prep for decision) but I may be mistaken. Anyway... Hopefully everything is good now... still waiting on my preliminary ratings.

It isn't a referred condition, So, Bascially this means... they can still find a preliminary rating and send it to the PEB? I just want the process to be over with so I can get a freakin' job! I don't really care about my back.. they can give me 0% for that for all I care, I had a back spasm 1 time and couldnt move for like 10 minutes... then I was up an running the next day. Let me know Eagleone, you seem to have a pretty good grasp of things.

If you call back after hours you can scheduale an appointment, and they'll call you back within a 15 minute window of the appointment. This is the only way I was able to get ahold of anyone. Good Luck.
Already got thru. Read above.

Correct. With questions on a non-referred claim (non-DoD), the VA can complete the proposed findings and forward the proposal to the PEB without a decision on single issue. The VA seems to put these issues on the back-burner, and are in no hurry to complete.

No word on mine. I think any reexams on these will be done after I am a Veteran.
