Hello! Been lurking a while and feel I should probably post my timeline at some point and have some questions that hopefully I can get some info on.

?? MAR 2018 - First noticed symptoms that would be later diagnosed
?? APR 2018 - PCS to new base
?? JUN 2018 - First appt for symptoms after PCS
?? OCT 2020 - Diagnosed by Rheumatologist with Fibromyalgia
20 AUG 2021 - Code 37 Applied
28 AUG 2021 - PEBLO sent initial notification/Initial Brief
29 AUG 2021 - Returned initial brief paperwork
29 NOV 2021 - Appt w/ MEB provider to go over records for NARSUM
09 DEC 2021 - Commanders impact statement discussed, requested Do Not Retain
15 DEC 2021 - Original suspense given for Commander Impact Statement
29 DEC 2021 - Commanders impact statement finished, recommended Retain :(
18 JAN 2022 - Local board decided to forward case to AFPC
07 FEB 2022 - AFPC ordered full MEB
09 FEB 2022 - Contacted by MSC to determine claimed conditions (19 claimed)
22 FEB 2022 - First QTC appt
25 FEB 2022 - Last QTC appt (I hope)

Just a waiting now, hopefully everything goes here on out. I am just worried about the commander recommendation retaining me at the last minute. Has anyone seen AFPC order a full MEB but still decide to retain without anything about your diagnosis changing at the QTC appointments? Hoping I get good news soon but going to stew in it until then.

With the way the AF does it you have a good chance of being found unfit if you get pushed to a full MEB. If you were Navy or Marines where they lean towards fit I would be more worried.

My timeline is pretty close to yours. I just finished my C&P's for JBSA last week as well. Also, my PEBLO had told me that once you get briefed into IDES (AFPC ordering full MEB), you have 9/10 chance of being found unfit. The AMRO board and IRILO board are the major points for a service member to be returned to duty. The fact that you weren't during those two boards is promising for being marked as unfit for service. Also that is pretty unfortunate that your commander recommended retain because most of the time I have seen them usually go with what the service member asks for. For example my CC had the shirt sit down with me and asked what I wanted and even though they really wanted me to "fight and stay", they went with what I was requesting. Based on other peoples timelines around here its looking like 2-3 months after IDES until retirement/separation depending also on how much leave you have saved which I know a lot of people are stacked from COVID.

Glad to hear it is typically this way, definitely a big source of anxiety right now.

I am seeing stuff get loaded to my tricare documents but still missing my general exam and labs tho IDK if those are separate.

My guess is that a majority of your claims DBQs are going to be covered in that general exam and it is taking the doctor longer to do them all. If you go online to the QTC login portal and click the drop down arrow for Disability Benefits Questionnaire under the general appointment it will show you how many DBQs that doctor had to do. The psychology appointment and the audio doctors only had to do 1 DBQ for me and the General doctor has 21 documents that he has to do.

11 MAR 2022 - Received and returned 618 to PEBLO
14 MAR 2022 - Received email from AFPC saying they had received my info

I can tell this is going to be brutal waiting for results. I know they have a certain amount of time to determine fit vs unfit and then they ship it off to the VA to finish up the ratings, do I get told once they decide fit vs unfit or do I have to wait for the whole thing to be done? Also I got an email from the VA to clarify a condition (sciatica left vs right vs bilateral), is that normal to hear from them before AFPC has made a decision or am I reading too much into it you think?

Signed my 608 and received the confirmation email from APFC on the same days as you. Have you heard anything yet? Nothing yet on my end. The waiting is the worst part.

:( No and it is driving me crazy. I keep refreshing all my emails and various VA sites multiple times a day.
My PEBLO said it would take approx. 30 days so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Same here. Fingers crossed we get our results sooner rather than later.

Yeah its like 4-5 weeks right now to get results back from PEB. I guess theyre backed up.

29 MAR 22 - 40% DOD Perm / 100% VA rated

Wasn't expecting it this soon. Now to figure out if I can get TAPS done quickly, currently scheduled at end of APR but want to be on terminal before that if I am able to. I need to figure that out before I sign for my findings and request my retirement date.

I was able to do the taps pre -sep brief via zoom then completed all the courses online. I was also to convince them to change me to tier 1 because I had a job offer, education, and everything else squared away which drastically cut the required cbts. Recommend you reach out if that what you want to do. All in all took me about 3 days to complete all the requirements.

I was able to knock out TAPS earlier, so the only thing standing between me and the door is getting my retirement orders and outprocessing. Not that I'm ready or anything. :D

31 MAR 2022 - Retirement orders recieved. 04 July 2022 DOS

Also thanks to the info. I was able to talk to AFRC and get the info on the CBT TAP class that I can do at my own pace!
