I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia in Feb.2017 Today the rheumatologist sent a MEB recommendation to my psychiatrist. I don't know anything about the process, he said ill get call from PEBLO. What do I need to know to have everything go in my favor?

I'd start by doing a search of this forum for "fibro."

Second, I'd get together a list of everything that you have ever injured or been ill with while in the service.

Third, I'd read the CFR on VA compensation. You might be surprised by some of the things that are compensable.

Best wishes
Mike

I had the same thing happen to me. However I got the referral to the psychiatrist after I completed my first round of C&P exams because of the Fibro diagnosis. The Psychiatrist had diagnosed me with Depression and didn't even tell me about it. A few weeks later when I got the appointment notification for the C&P exam is when I realized what it was for. I completely disagreed with the diagnosis and told the examiner what I've told everyone from day 1.

Moral of the story is to make sure they understand exactly what's going on with you or you'll end up getting the run around and a misdiagnosis.

Hey man i am currently going through the Med Board for Fibro. let me know anything i can help with

I’d like to know what to expect. It’s been 9 days and I have not heard anything. It’s about to be the holidays, so I’m expecting in the new year the ball will start rolling. Is Fibromyalgia considered as something that makes you unfit for duty?

You will likely hear NOTHING for about a month!

That's cool. How do you know if something is considered to make you unfit for duty?

That's usually the determination that the PEB makes.
