Has anybody been medically retired or separated for EOE (Eosinophilic Esophagitis) or the use of Dupixent for the treatment of EOE? What was your experience and ultimate outcome? For reference per my UMO:
“There needs to be consideration for PEB if continued on Dupixent for EoE. I discussed this possibility with the patient today, if on chronic immunomodulators. Needs close follow up with GI, and his PCM”
I’m not opposed to the idea of early retirement. I was previously on LIMDU for EOE and had a waiver but new symptoms have developed and I’ve had to change treatment obviously. I’m currently on limdu for MH/SI but I don’t think my PCM has officially initiated my 2nd limdu for EOE. Is it possible to be Limdu for different conditions at once? Can it just be added? Do I have to be stable on meds(Dupixent and/or Anti Depressants) before a board is initiated?
I believe I’d receive 50% VA disability based on the DBQ. I’m on my 2nd Dilation this year and will likely need a 3rd in 4-6 months.
