Elusive Eligibility Determination meaning

Anyone been able to find out what Eligibility Determination claim showing up in eBenefits means? Here's a little backstory:

I was separated out of the Air Force with a 0% rating on 28 Sept 2012. VA rating of 80%. My claim made it all the way up to "Preparation for Notification" on 17 January 2013. Then, on 20 January, it was kicked back to "Pending Decision Approval". Now, today I open eBenefits and see a new claim for "Eligibility Determination" in the "Claim Received" phase. So, I searched all over the internet for an answer, but to no avail. I have an appointment to talk to Peggy tomorrow, but she's not always the most helpful place. I could send an e-mail to IRIS, but that system seems to have slowed WAAYY down (asked a question on 28 November that I still haven't gotten a response to).

So, I am hoping that someone here may have gone through this and can explain what this claim means. Thank you all so much!

So, I called the VA and they said they are waiting on DFAS to send information regarding my disability severance (doesn't make sense in my case - not going to be recouped) before they can pay out. Got that info 1/25. So, I called DFAS today to find out what the hold up is because it hasn't changed (I realize that doesn't necessarily mean anything) and DFAS says they haven't received a request for that information and they sent that information to the VA 2 days after it was paid anyway (the guy said they are starting to do this with disability severance cases for IDES)! So, now I am back to square one trying to figure out what that claim means! Or maybe they closed it out, but haven't updated ebenefits. Just wanted to let people know what I found in case someone else has the same issue. Also, if someone does know what this is and what that process is like, I would welcome that information as well.

Has anything changed on your claim as of now?
I was medically retired on 31 Dec 12 and today the mysterious "eligibility determination" claim popped up and my disability claim has been sitting at "pending decision approval" since 22 Jan 13. I'm just trying to figure out what it means and came across your post as I was googling it. LOL.
