This is just a reminder of the reliability of ebenefits in conjunction with the IDES. VA recieved my claim 24 Apr 2013(ebenefits). My claim went to Pending Decision Approval on 6 May. VA requested clarification on something (still don't know what it was for). After waiting over a month for movement through the final stages, on 6 Jun my claim went back to Review of Evidence. I called the DAV a few days ago and they confirmed that VA sent my ratings back to the PEB Sep 18. My ebenefits still says Review of Evidence. So I'm an example of one of those people that if you just rely on ebenefits and don't at the very least get a DAV Rep then you will be in the total dark on your claim. I know a lot of individual's enebenfits said "Gathering Evidence-Requesting separation document" which means that the VA is waiting on your DD214 but mine didn't do that; it has been sitting at the same status for over 5 months now. This post is for those who have a similar situation with ebenefits and your status not moving.

E-bennies is only a good tool if the administrators update as they are supposed to, when the 1-800 VA hotline comes back up, call them and have them make a note on your account to have the case worker update the info on the program.
