Ebenefits problem

Been reading here and there but haven't posted anything till now. Ive been on the MED board since march 2012, I havent not received my findings. I feel that ive been pretty patient on just going with the flow and telling the doctors whats up. But im to the point where the command is putting pressure on me and im curious on where my process is. Supposedly its "at the VA" but i want to know more than that. So ive tried to do a ebenefits account and i requested a code but never have received it. I was in the middle of moving and thought i had updated my new address, so i went to the va office and updated...still havent got any in the mail. What can i do? I have no CAC card, everyone at the VA has gave me the run around. Anybody else have this problem?

Go to you local VA hospital/clinic and request a Ebenfits Prime account, should be pretty easy at that point. Why no CAC? You have to have one while still enlisted!
 
I went to the San diego one and i live an hour away. I was told the only place that could help was the help desk downstairs with a DEERS representative....and a 2 and 1/2 hour wait. So i was pissed i came an hour out for nothing. As far as the CAC card, Ive never tried to get one. How do i request it?
 
So who would actually give me a prime account? VA rep, Voc rehab rep, blah blah. Im clueless man lol.

Are you out of the military already? If you are then no way you can unless your a DoD employee...

That is unknown who you would have to talk to at the hospital, they should have given you access when you registered at the VA hospital. I think you can attempt for one on the ebenefits website
 
you assumed wrong bud, been active duty for 3 years and 6 months and I am more than ready to EAS. When i tried to apply for a premium account it says "An unexpected exception has occurred please contact the support desk for further assistance" . Oh well, guess ill try to go there again, hopefully it wont be a waste of my time.
 
I'm confused about the whole CAC card issue....every active duty member has one. Not to downplay the issue, but you don't have the white id card with the little gold microchip on the front? AFAIK, there are no other valid forms of id for active duty members (short of special access badges, line badges, etc.):confused:
 
I have a ID, but when you plug it into a CAC reader it doesnt register it as a CAC card. You actually have to have paperwork referring and your id programed from my knowledge.
 
Ok, now I got it. You do have a CAC card, you just need your certificates loaded into the system. The computer geek at your unit (AF calles them C4I troops) should be able to help you with that so that you can easily set up an Ebenefits account. You can also ask them for software called active client that you can load to your personal computer and buy a CAC reader fro 15 bucks and access mil networks/sites from home.
 
Also, the tech support number for ebenefits is 1-800-983-0937. I would call there and see if they are able to help you with your error. ;-)
