Disability Claim Timeline Rough Estimate?

Hey all,

I did the Benefit Disability at Discharge for my VA disability claims. I completed all of the exams that the VA wanted me to get. I got out June 19th, my claim was submitted June 20th, and i was able to scan and upload my DD-214 on June 23rd.

From my understanding it’s a lengthy process. When do you think I’ll get my notification on which claims were accepted and my disability percentage?

Thanks,
Tom

I would register on E-benefits and VA.gov if you haven't already. E-benefits is hit or miss. VA.gov is pretty good. This will tell you what step your on (due to covid) they wont give you estimated times. However, I have been noticing from friends that have submitted claims in the last 2 months have been moving pretty quickly but it all depends on a number of factors:

How busy is the VA
What's their backlog
What kind of conditions are you claiming?
How many conditions are you claiming?

Unfortunately nobody knows for sure. If you call the VBA they almost always say the same thing 'Well we try to have it done in fill in the blank here". And that's the best you get.

Every case that is worked varies in time, some may be as quicker (or slower) than others.
