Did not write "Review all conditions"

I submitted DD 294 in January. However, a few weeks ago I received certified mail from PBDR stating I should apply for a review and to write "Review all conditions" in block 3.

I totally missed that. So, I wrote them an email to try and fix the problem. This is their reply:

"We cannot interpret your intentions. This is a very basic process - if you tells us what you want reviewed and why, that is what we will specifically review.

If you write "Review all conditions", that is what we do. You list broad areas of concern but no specific directive based on the concern. While you know what you want reviewed specifically, be very black and white with the request. If the PDBR staff cannot determine what you are asking for, they will cover the conditions on the MEB/PEB."

Now, I'm freaking out. I believe I just ruined my case!

Any thoughts?

First, thank you for your service. It would seem they are open for you to inform them of further conditions you would like reviewed. That sounded positive to me. However, it is quite possible I am reading it wrong. On a side note, I mailed my 294 a year ago, and it has been radio silence since. Then, like you, I received a certified letter from the PDBR exactly like the one you describe two weeks ago. It was a source of great confusion and I still don't know what to think. So, I simply wrote "Respectfully request the PDBR review all conditions." in block three. I filled out the rest of the form, and mailed it back to them. To top it all off, I am now listed as a sponsor in DEERS, yet ineligible for Tricare. This whole process is confusing and brings up a lot of bad memories I thought I had buried. I don't know what to suggest that you should do. The whole process is secretive and subjective. Like you, I emailed them, last week, and I have still not heard from them. Hang in there, keep your head up, you are not alone. I know this isn't very helpful, but realize, the military screwed up the cases, not us, that is how we all got here.

I appreciate your reply. Like you, this has brought up bad memories. It's stressful. I'm just tired. I'm tired of fighting.

I was one of the many soldiers trapped in Walter-Reed AMC 2006-2007 (Building 18) waiting for a MEB. I was medically held for a year after my ETS.

We all knew back then they were screwing all of us. It was a horrible experience. I had to fight them with a formal board because they were going to give me 0% left with 10%.

I'm thinking it's time to move on. It is what it is. I've dealt with them for so long. I think it's just time to move on which includes the VA game. I now know I can't depend on them.

Don't give up. Keep digging. I know it's hard. I can't imagine what y'all went through in building 18. I talked to the PDBR yesterday. Turns out they have no record of the package I mailed last year, and very friendly sent me a new form. Which by the way has been sent promptly. I would encourage you to email them asking if you can scan a new 294 in and email it to be amended to your package.

Good news! I got a hold of them. They are letting me update my DD 294. I just emailed them back. I want to thank you for the reply. It really helped out! Good luck on your end. Sounds like the both of us are just starting the long 2 year wait.

After this, whatever happens. I'm letting this go. I just need to move on with my life. The final push. This, I believe is a good thing. Take care brother.

Excellent news! There is still hope yet! Keep your spirits up. Im so glad they let you send in a corrected one. I reckon we will have our answers in a couple years. By then, there will be driverless cars, flying cars, and people living on mars. You are not alone brother. This forum is filled with caring and helpful people. I for one am trying to find things to do to keep my mind off it. So, I'm gonna finish my degree finally and use that GI bill. I wish you the best of luck too brother.

Hi, is there anything else you would suggest for someone that is just now sending in a PDBR? I jut got a letter in the mail about a PDBR from the Department of Defense. I learned from this to make sure to put please review all conditions. Thanks I might have forgot that. Anything else you think would help me? I have a topic open asking for assistance with it. Just wondering guys. I appreciate it!
