I am being boarded because I blew out my knee working on a jet in November of 2010. I had arthroscopic surgery last April followed by months and months of physical therapy. I have been waived from multiple physical fitness tests. The diagnosis that QTC wrote was chondroplasty with residual early osteoarthritis. The only thing that is on my narsum is my knees.
After I started the Med board my back started to hurt tremendously. I feel backwards off of a boarding ladder while I was on a det in central america in 2008. I didn't have this documented in my record because it was a small detachment with no medical personnel on hand. I have recently had X-rays, an mri, and a ct-scan. The findings from all this was that I have 5 broken lateral transverse processes, a bulged disc, and spondylosis. None of these things are on the narsum.
I have already signed my paperwork and my package has been mailed to the PEB. All of the conditions from my back are noted in my write up from QTC. Will the board look at the back conditions even know I am only being boarded for my knees? I am worried because the write up from the QTC doctor sounds like my knees aren't all that bad. When in reality I can't do anything without having a great deal of pain. The frustrating thing is the doctor only talked to me for a few moments and didn't really look at my knees.
