My husband was just denied SSDI, he is 90% VA disabled due to several physical and mental ailments that are all service connected. It states that there wasn’t sufficient vocational info in the denial and only lists one of the many ailments we described in the paperwork initially. Any input on what we should include on the reconsideration info? We filed an appeal and received the packets to re-complete. Any help is appreciated.
Definitely provide as much information as humanly possible to support claimed impairments. Retaining a lawyer may be helpful. If you decide not to just make sure you don’t miss appeal deadline. Also, once the case is appealed and assigned to an examiner you can speak to the examiner by phone about what evidence has already been obtained. Perhaps they (SSA) do not have all of the information. This is not uncommon. Good luck to you !!!
