Current USN PEB status

I am currently waiting on the PEB to give their proposed DOD ratings to my PEBLO. The VA gave the PEB my 80% rating on May 13. Is anyone else near this timeline? I have been patiently waiting so I can begin my checking out, etc... and to prepare my family's living arrangements in Arizona. I am currently stationed in Louisiana. Also, how long does it take after I accept my findings to get started with my processing out and receiving my soft orders? I have to terminate my rental lease by using my orders as proof. There's a lot of other things including my wife's job that is making me overwhelmed with this process. Not trying to sound impatient but it really is getting closer to July and I would like to be on terminal by then to set everything up for my family.

Going on terminal leave by July is unlikely. I am USN and signed my packet the end of April. Just got my orders a bit over a week ago. I'm not saying its impossible, just going to take some string pulling on your end. Also, remember under the SCRA to cancel your residential lease due to orders you have to provide a full months notice.

Oh wow. That timeline is a stretch! Yes, I will try to pull strings and maneuver these headache delays. Thanks so much for the information that you provided!

No problem. I was a bit irritated it took so long to get orders but I think it is possible to get a quick turnaround with some push from above. Think one of the longest waits is for them to process the medical retirement, TDRL etc..

Yes, I shall try to contact the ones from above to make this happen. I am lucky to have a command that can pull strings for me. So you were medically retired? And how long was that wait? Sorry for the personal questions.

I dont mind. Yes I signed for my medical retirement (TDRL) the end of April, received my retirement orders a bit over a week ago, and my retirement date was posted as 28 Aug 19. Apparently, 90 days out is the default but have heard you can request an earlier date. I'm not moving so it doesn't effect me much, and I have not done TGPS either, so I'm not terribly rushed. Other than I'm just over it and ready to be done.

Wow. Yeah I’m looking to take the 30 day route. Congrats on your retirement though! I’m pretty certain that it was all worth it for you.

im confused by this? i thought it was PEB findings for DOD rating first. if over 30, retired. if under 30 then severance. then forward your record to the VA for further claims to be filed?
