Has anyone had success getting CRSC for NTC rotation or other training? If a condition was not noted in a deployment but was at NTC, is there any chance? Army. I’ve seen the reg the whole weapons of war, etc, but with all the combat related injuries, it’s seems just a little weird to ask for it for an NTC injury way back.

What are the details of the injury? If you fell running while doing PT then no. If you were hit by an armored vehicle then probably yes.

I wouldn't call it "weird" - esp if the documentation states a) injury, b) mechanism of said injury (MOI) and c) activity at time of injury. As @JMATTK said: it all depends on what happened. If you were reserve compo, the effective date would not be prior to January 2008 as that's when CRSC was opened up beyond just 20-year active members, that doesn't mean if approved you would get retro pay back to 2008, it just sets the start date in case any new laws get passed.

I’m confused on the 2008 rule. It happened in 1997 when I was regular army. Does that mean if it happened before 2008 I can’t apply? Thanks.

No, that's just when they opened it up to those who are Ch 61 retirees with less than 20 years active federal service. For example: those with PACT Act conditions rated prior to August 2022 would only be able to get those conditions approved effective no earlier than August 2022.
