Contacting the PEB?

Is there any way to contact the PEB and see what the hold up is? My case was rated by the VA and sent back to the PEB a month ago ... and I have not heard a single word.

I thought the only thing they had to do was look at what the VA rated me on my unfit conditions, and match those ratings?? Doesn't seem like that would need to take a month ... which leads me to believe my stuff got lost or is just sitting on some random desk somewhere.

I would recommend contacting your PEBLO, who can contact the PEB to check the status. I've seen cases fall through the cracks for significant periods of time and be resolved only when brought to the PEB's attention. My experience has been Army only.

As a note, it is possible. Some have reported success by doing so. You will have to know which PEB it is though, Army has 3 different ones I think? This is the PEBLO's job however, so I would recommend telling them your concerns and give them a chance to at least attempt to get real info. I can't say this has a high success rate. There is some concern about bugging the PEB unnecessarily and that leading to them not liking you. Its awful hard to prove why the PEB came to an unfavorable conclusion. Personally I'd talk to the command, if the PEBLO is non-responsive, and have them express frustration with the speed to the PEBLO, though even that doesn't help a ton. Its awful hard to get visibility into why one piece is not working.
 
Well, I dont want to make the PEB mad ... but it would be nice to get something other than "I cant see any changes". And my PEBLO hasnt even responded to me last email. Aggrivating.
 
Another way to contact is through Soldiers council lawyer they call directly for me when I was in office.
 
Yesterday I contacted the PEB and found out the VA had left out some dates out or something and I shoud hear something by tomorrow. It has been 2 months since the VA sent my ratings back to the PEB. My PEBLO also told me that they are not supposed to contact the PEB by phone. I was like WTF and called myself, therefore I got answers.

But at least let your PEBLO know what you are doing. Mine actually does a great job.
