I was placed on TDRL over a year ago. I received a letter that my re-evalution is coming up in Texas. I am currently in Arizona. I am trying to get it moved to the VA here in Arizona for 2 reasons.

One I am currently in marriage counsiling and am trying to save my marriage. I have been told I could be in Texas for up to 3 months. Any ideas of getting the evalution moved?

Two I was diagnosed with PTSD and had a much needed knee surgery while on TDRL by the VA. I did not inform the Military. Should I send my VA medical documents to the PEBLO now or is there another address I should be sending them too?

The PTSD was not caught by the Military before I went on TDRL, is this something that can be added? Or am I just evaluated on the items that I was placed on TDRL in the first place?

Any help of what to expect would be appreciated as well.

I don't think that VA can do a military eval.

Yes, you should keep your PEBLO updated with any changes in your medical condition.
 
There was something I either read or that was mentioned to me regarding TDRL evaluations being performed at VA Medical Centers. I don't know if such a practice has been implemented or even is being considered but it is worth looking into in the context of your situation, crmason.

For the PTSD and knee surgery, I would make several copies of all records pertaining to the treatment of these two conditions and give one copy to your PEBLO, bring a copy with you to the re-eval, and even keep an extra copy as a backup. When it comes to DoD and DVA medical appointments, I operate under the assumption that they will not have or be able to access my medical records.

If these conditions (PTSD, knee surgery and residual condition) resulted from or were aggravated by military service (or are secondary to a condition that was the cause of your placement on TDRL) they should be evaluated. Keep in mind, even though these conditions may be evaluated and found to have been caused or aggravated by military service, they may not have been prevented you from reasonably performing the duties of your rank and MOS/Rate/AFSC. Regardless, it's imperative you bring up these conditions for evaluation since it is just as likely that these conditions can be found as unfitting and compensable.

It may take three months (or longer) to have your evaluation completed. But your exam should take only a few days. You need to get in touch with the TDRL coordinator for your branch and make the request for another site.

Adding a condition at the TDRL re-eval basically requires you successfully argue that it was unfitting at the time your were placed on TDRL or that it is related to a condition that you were placed on TDRL for.
