I am going through IDES and the MEB for CVID. My refered conditions are CVID, Bronchiectasis with acute respiratory infection, Cardiomyopathy, Chronic pan sinusitis, and Bilateral dry eye disease. These all stem from my immune deficiency. The last post regarding this condition was from 2008 on this forum. All the Facebook groups have no answers. Google has no answers. I feel as if I'm throwing a dart at a board in terms of DOD and VA ratings. Can anyone provide input or has anyone seen this before?

Hi,i found this information, not sure if it is helpful
Immune System Problems | Veterans Affairs
From what I know, the VA doesn’t have a direct rating for immune deficiency or conditions like CVID. Instead, the VA rates the symptoms or complications caused by the immune deficiency.
Thanks Christina,

So for CVID itself, I would get rated based on the severity of my symptoms that it causes? Is that what you're saying? If so, that makes perfect sense.

Yes, If you're filing a claim, it’s a good idea to list CVID as the primary condition, then document and claim all secondary effects. Include statements from immunologists or infectious disease specialists who can clearly link your complications to CVID.

Even if it doesn’t have its own VA diagnostic code, it’s still very important to list it as the primary condition on your VA claim because it is the root cause of the other health issues you're experiencing By listing CVID as the main condition, you help the VA understand the big picture.
