CMS Notification: IDES Issue with Case

Hopefully this is where you post this. I have signed my 199 on tuesday of last week and have been waiting to hit the transpoc list but this morning I recieved an email stating:

You are currently in the Integrated Disability Evaluation System (IDES) process which consists of 12 Steps from Referral to Benefits.
The IDES Dashboard tracks the start and completion of each step through the entire process to provide you with visibility of where your case is at all times.
You are receiving this email as notification that you have completed the Final Disposition step in the IDES process however, your case has not moved to the next step, instead it has been placed into a category identifying cases with issues. Your timeline has been temporarily halted to address these issues. Please contact your PEBLO for further assistance.
Upon resolution, your case will immediately be placed in the next step of the IDES process and your timeline will continue as scheduled.
If you have questions concerning the details of your case please contact your PEBLO to provide assistance.
If you are experiencing Dashboard related problems please use the Dashboard feedback link located on the toolbar to address your issue. We will promptly respond to your concerns.

I have spoken with my PEBLO and he is not quite sure what it means except maybe an audit. Has anyone ever recieved this sort of email or have an idea what could possibly be going on?

Welcome to the PEB Forum! :)

Indeed, this is a "first" time I have ever heard of this type of notification email being forwarded to a DoD IDES participant.

Hmm, who generated the email notification? Hmm, it's kind of usual that the PEBLO doesn't know about such an email notification in my opinion at least?

Nonetheless, hopefully other PEB Forum members with specific pin-pointed information and/or experiences shall potentially provide comments soon. Take care and enjoy life

Thus, I quite often comment that "possessing well-informed knowledge is truly a powerful equalizer."

MODS_DB [NOREPLY@mods.army.mil] is where this email was generated from.

In retrospect, it seems that the Medical Operational Data System (MODS) is an MHSS objective system that provides the Army Medical Department (AMEDD) with an integrated automation system that supports all phases of Human Resource Life-Cycle Management in both peacetime and mobilization. This on-line system provides commanders, staffs and functional managers of AMEDD organizations with a real time source of information on the qualifications, training, special pay and readiness of Army Medical Department (AMEDD) personnel.

Moreover, MODS currently maintain sixty system interfaces which are updated on a daily, weekly, monthly or semi-annual basis. These interfaces bring in over 75% of the data used in the system. The AMEDD community has a powerful tool with which decision makers and managers can effect their work requirements quickly. As a desktop resource for the personnel manager, MODS places critical assignment, training and qualification information at his fingertips. Time spent acquiring data can now be used in analyzing the information.

Indeed, the AMEDD Command Management System (CMS) is an application within the MODS. The MODS website (http://www.mods.army.mil) states that "CMS provides visibility and statistical analysis for all levels of operational performance from the DoD level down to the individual medical homes and teams" hence the receipt of your CMS e-mail notification while in the DoD IDES process.

Hmm, in my opinion, it's now time for your PEBLO to perform some additional research to yield some sound insightful feedback as to the status of your DoD IDES case file since AMEDD if referring you back to your assigned PEBLO!

Indeed, please make the call again to your PEBLO for a more definitive response while never default acceptance to potential injustice! To that extent, your PEBLO has a boss, correct? ;) Take care!

Thanks for the response. I received and email from my peblo this morning stating he talked to staff at the PDA and was told that they saw nothing wrong with my case and also said they do not see and issue with holding the case up. Im sure they dont have an issue with it but I sure do. Hopefully in the next couple of days my case will be sent to transpoc.

You are quite welcome! :)

Okay, good job to your PEBLO; at least in reference to your DoD IDES case file not being held "hostage" by the HQ USAPDA staff and is being adjudicated for TRANSPOC-III submission.

Indeed, if you still have concerns with your DoD IDES case file, please implement the necessary legal options upon gaining official status as a military disabled veteran; never default acceptance to potential injustice! Take care and enjoy life! :D

Hey I found this thread by googling the very same email you received.

I got an email from MODS_DB Tuesday morning, and my IDES dashboard is marked with UNKNOWN as the estimated finish dates. Called my PEBLO and she said a bunch of servicemembers all got the same message this week. The fact that this thread exists seems to corroborate her explanation. She said my case finished the IPEB and is beginning VA Rating, and that I shouldn't worry. I tried asking her where she got her information regarding that strange email and my current case status since the dashboard doesn't reflect that, and she sort of dodged the question. I should've asked more questions but she sounded like she didn't know why these emails occurred either.

If my dashboard isn't resolved by next Tuesday, I'm going to try to visit her doing open hours and see if I can get to the bottom of this.

Let me know what you dig up, steelsodier

Well I got hold of the Physical Disablity Agency myself today and was told there is nothing wrong with my case and the holdup to hitting the transpoc list is simply due to back log right now with the PDA

Outstanding, in reference to remaining positively proactive and obtaining DoD IDES case status directly from the USAPDA! :D Good job and take care!;)
