Hi All!

I just received a notification from the VA that my "claim has been closed." Does anyone know what that means?? Does this mean the iPEB recommended "do not retain"?

Thank you in advance!

Generally ratings are started for everyone regardless of the PEB as to speed up the process if you are found unfit. What makes a difference is once the PEB votes and makes a determination of Fit or Unfit they will send a request to the VA for ratings. These ratings are proposed ratings and pushed back to the PEB for a board to see and rate you for your DOD side and decide on what type of separation you will be getting such as severance or medical retirement. From talking with my PEBLO office the other day if your PEB package was pushed to the VA you were found unfit or do not retain.
