I’m in the MEB process and when I discussed what I would be claiming with my VA rep, he told me I couldn’t claim anything if I didn’t have a diagnosis or currently under a treatment plan for it. However, I’ve talked to a lot of people who have told me that’s not true and I can claim anything I want.
I found this out after I submitted my claims. So my question is, once I’m out, can I add more claims? I don’t mind doing the exams and everything once I’m out, I just want to make sure I have the chance to have everything documented.

Yes, you can add claims for any condition you wish. It doesn't necessarily mean that they will find them service connected, especially if there isn't an evidence trail for the condition you are claiming. Additionally, during the exams, you may find that you are diagnosed through the VA with certain conditions you have not claimed. This will trigger a development letter from the VA stating if you wish to claim the condition you can do so. For example, I was diagnosed with Periodic Limb Movement Disorder through the VA, but did not initiate a claim for it. Once my exams were verified, I received a letter asking if I wish to claim the condition, and the process of doing so. I have since submitted a claim for that condition and am awaiting a decision.
