Hello all!

Got my final ratings back in November and retired pay as well. Right after that I submitted a claim for celiac disease that was diagnosed earlier, but had to wait until my percentages were final. It was a fully developed claim as it contained the diagnosis from the gastro doc. This past weekend had the C&P exam. The doc said all his job consisted of was writing my version of my disease and submit to the "benefits" dept who would then do their part etc.

My question is: can I receive an award (10%, 30%) for a disability if I do not work and receive SSDI?

I am 90% VA

thanks

Yes, you can. Seems to me with the SSDI, if you are not moved to a 100% rating, you should also claim Total Disability Based on Individual Unemployability.

Thanks Jason. I guess I'll have to research for Total Disability Based on Individual Unemployability as I have no idea what it is.
