Camp Pendleton (Navy side) Timeline

8/8/2025 - MEB initiated by PCM.
9/30/2025 - IDES first contact.
**Unfortunately here the government got shutdown so there’s a large gap**
11/19/2025 - Legal Brief
11/21/2025 - PEBLO Assigned
11/26/2025 - PEBLO first contact and appointment with him and MSC set up.
12/02/2025 - Appointment with PEBLO, MSC appointment and claims submitted to QTC. Notified by PEBLO he asked for addendums to add MH and Moderate TBI as referrals from my specialists (he did this without my prompt, but it was a concern of mine so nice to see him ahead of the game).
12/04/2025 - PTSD NARSUM addendum (very fast turnaround, impressed) added to referred conditions. QTC sent letter to call them so I can set up appointments. Tried calling but they can’t access my file, said it needs to be a case manager. Will call tomorrow.
12/17/2025 - 6 VA appointments scheduled.
01/12/2026 - Last VA appointment.
01/22/2026 - Appointment with JAG. Estimated 100% VA and at least >30% DoD. Signed NARSUM and submitted Impact Statement
01/23/2026 - Waiting game begins for PEB decision.
02/03/2026 - VA claim step 5 completed populated in VA App. Tried calling like some have had success doing but no luck. Just gonna wait it out for the letter.
02/19/2025 - Found unfit, 100% (not sure on P&T status yet). Do not know DoD% yet. Now we wait for official findings so I can sign.
03/02/2025 - Received findings. 100% DoD PDRL. 100% P&T VA. Accepted on spot. Sent to PERS for action
03/05/2026 - Not hard copied but got OIX message with last day. April 17th, 2026. WAY sooner than I thought I’d have but still excited!
03/09/2026 - Routed terminal. Official last say is 16 APRIL, had the wrong day. Termina starts 20th of March, and my separation packet is already in routing!
Awesome. I signed my findings 13March. How early is too early to ask my admin department if they have the OIX message? I don’t want to unnecessarily bother them but at the same time that’s what they are there for.

I would wait at least a couple weeks to start asking them. It can take 30-45 days but most have been taking a week or less.

It is the S1's job to do the admin work and because of the nature of the job they are bothered with people and their problems daily. I'd recomend to not be a nuisance on them. It's better to become their friend than their annoying custonmer or even enemy.

I’ve seen this happen a lot, especially when someone is putting in effort but not seeing improvement in run times. In most cases, the issue isn’t effort — it’s the lack of a structured approach.

Looking at the timings shared here, even a small mistake in pacing or recovery can affect overall performance. What worked for me was focusing on controlled improvement instead of pushing too hard every session.

A few things that really helped:
- Break your target into small weekly improvements (don’t rush big jumps)
- Maintain consistent pacing instead of starting too fast
- Track your run times properly and identify where you slow down
- Focus on recovery and avoid overtraining

Many people ignore small steps, but those small mistakes keep the timing stuck. Once I started following a proper step-by-step process, the improvement became much more consistent.

If anyone wants a simple example of how following correct steps and avoiding common mistakes can fix performance issues, this guide explains it clearly:

The concept of proper setup and step-by-step execution applies the same way in training as well.

Stay consistent and trust the process

Don’t see a ton of Camp Pendleton people on here so figured I’d try and post a timeline. For reference I am being MEB for Vertigo Unspecified, Moderate TBI residuals and MH related to TBI.

Will update as I go through the process. Just waiting now for the VA appointment call!
Thanks for sharing this timeline, it really helps to understand how the process actually moves step by step. That gap during the shutdown part is especially useful to know because many people get confused at that stage.

One thing I’ve noticed is that following a clear step-by-step approach and keeping everything organized early can save a lot of delays later on. Small things like tracking appointments, documents, and updates properly make a big difference.

I found a simple step-by-step guide that explains how to handle structured processes without missing important steps, which might be helpful for others going through something similar.
It would be great if you keep updating this timeline
