Calc CRSC % roughly....

Are you asking what factors matter to the calculator in coming to its value?

CRSC level is based on the disability % of the conditions found unfitting. So lets go ahead and pretend that CRSC is awarded at the 100% level. CRSC then has three calculations to do.

VA pay chart - At 100% with a single spouse this work out to about $3000
retirement % pay- Base pay at 3000 (this is made up too), 3000 x 1 = $3000
LOS retirement pay - I.e. at base pay of 3000, 10 years of service, 3000 * .25 = $750

Whichever is lowest is the CRSC level paid. So in this pretend scenario, $750 would be the CRSC pay.

LOS is length of service. Each year of service is worth 2.5%. 10 years of service is thus worth 25%. I randomly made up the 10 years as well.

CRSC cannot exceed the amount you would have received had you been retired for time instead of disability.

I was in 9 yrs 11 months and 19 days and I am 100/100. So would ur calc be correct because u would round up? Also DFAS CRSC calc only goes by 10's so I would assume you would have to round 25 to 30 also.

( Yes I know what they say about assuming.. So correct me if I am wrong because I do not know and I am assuming)

The DFAS calculator doesn't have a spot to put in the % for your LOS retirement. It uses the year / month / day put up top to calculator your LOS retirement %.

Years of service are computed to the day. Meaning it would be ~9.969 years * 2.5% or ~24. 92%.
