C&P scar question

Does a scar have to be .6 cm or more to warrant a %?

Reason I ask is ive got multiple and ones like 10 inches long and .7cm wide however va C&P says .5 cm wide. I would like to raise the issue this week if its needed as my package is about to be mailed off in a couple days.

Thank you for your thoughts

In my opinion, I suggest that you "raise the issue this week" if you believe there exist an issue. Worst case scenario would be a non-award of a percentage evaluation.

In reference to your inquiry, a percent evaluation is warranted if there is a superficial and nonlinear scar or scars not of the head, face or neck in an area or areas of 144 square inches (929 square cm) or greater.

Moreover, an additional separate compensable evaluation under the VASRD Code 7804 is warranted if there is at least one scar that is painful or unstable.

Thus, I quite often comment that "possessing well-informed knowledge is truly a powerful equalizer."

Best Wishes!

Let me ask and I will admit that I didn't look it up but I will tomorrow if I remember. If you have more than one scar that is painful in different areas, like one on the arm and one on the leg, is it just counted once or twice?

I have a few scars from surgeries and fragments.. Never was told about I can get a percentage for them.

I'm certainly going to claim the scar on the side of my face from the plastic surgeon that somehow forgot to sow me closed after my surgery. I'm pretty sure scars to face are an automatic % and don't have some of the crazy requirements.
