Bliss Timeline

Wow this is fast. I'm on a very similar timeline to you Jimothy84. My stuff went to the VA 9DEC19. No movement yet from there. Its' been 29 days today that my packet has been at the VA for ratings. The Army average is 25 days so I'm hoping it comes back soon. I only had 11 conditions to rate to include my referred condition. The wait is excruciating!

I've got 16 so I am also hoping for the end of this month. I am going to call the VA on Friday and check for any type of movement.

I called them yesterday and the guy on the phone wasn't very helpful. He kept referring me back to my PEBLO. I reached out to my PEBLO (who hasn't responded yet).

As they say, no two timelines are the same. A team member of mine is also going through MEB. He signed his unfit memo on 10 Jan and his PEBLO called today and said his rating will be back Friday. Standby to standby.....

Do you have to sign an unfit memo? I was emailed and told I was unfit, but I never signed anything. I'm still waiting on ratings. Been with VA since 26 DEC. I'm probably being impatient, but I just want it to be over with already.

I didn't mean to put that he signed is UNFIT memo as I did not either.

57 days and counting since my packet is at the VA for ratings........

Jeeez, I'm sorry to hear that! They are taking waaay too long.

It's been a month since my separation date and still haven't gotten my severance pay. According to the VA, my claim isn't complete so they don't recognize me as a disabled veteran at this point. I don't know if it's because my medboard was pushed so fast and now the VA has to catch up. It's got me kinda worried though. The day of my separation, I had a claim close on VA.gov. The day after my separation, a new claim was opened on VA.gov and it says it will be complete on Feb. 7, 2020. I'm hoping that I'll get my first disability check on March 1.

I am at bliss and here is my timeline I started in 2019
10/23-p3 submitted
10/30- meb brief and va claims
11/25- finished c&p exams
01/06/2020- got narsum
01/10- sent to peb
01/30- unfit memo and sent to DRAS for ratings

currently just waiting for VA to release ratings Peblo said could be 6 months to get my ratings how true this is I’m not sure, I’m being med boarded for torn labrum from 9-3 position 5mm peri laberal cyst and damage to biceps tendon, if anyone has gotten their ratings if you could share some onsite on how long you waited for ratings. I know every case is different, and if any one knows what the codes on the unfit memo mean I have (meb dx1) (V1-Y) (V3-Y) (V4-Y) is really appreciate any information I tried to google and couldn’t find anything. Thanks for any help

As far as timelines, its a complete crap shoot. My co worker (we are both at Bliss) had his packet sent to the VA on 3JAN, he signed his 199 today. My packet has been at the VA since 10DEC. If you check VA.gov you can gauge progress by seeing your original case close and another open. Other than that, your PEBLO is it.

The V codes are as follows:

v1. The disability disposition is based on disease or injury incurred in the line of duty in combat with an enemy of the United States and as a direct result of armed conflict or caused by an instrumentality of war and incurred in the line of duty during a period of war (5 USC 8332, 3502, and 6303). (This determination is made for all compensable cases but pertains to‘potential benefits for disability retirees employed under Federa! Civil Service.)

v2. Evidence of record reflects the Soldier was a member or obligated to become a member of an armed force or Reserve thereof, or the NOAA or the USPHS on 24 September 1975.

v3. The disability did result from a combat—related injury under the provisions of 26 USC 104 or 10 USC 10216.

v4. The disability severance pay was awarded for disability incurred in a combat zone or incurred while performing combat—related operations as designated by the Secretary of Defense (10 USC 1212).

Thank you for the information I really appreciate it, I have reached out to my Peblo and I get told @I don’t know, when I know you will know” haha. But thank you for your insight, guess it’s just typical hurry up and wait at this point.

Who is your PEBLO? I have Mrs. Wright. Just curious.

Got NARSUM in 01/06, and on 01/10 sent to PEB? So when was the MEB?

Welp, called my congressman last week and submitted an inquiry to the VA. Got sick of seeing others submitted to the VA after me get their ratings back before me. He called me today and said the VA responded saying a decision will be made NLT 26FEB on my ratings.

Nice I may have to go that same route myself if I don’t hear anything by March 10th

Day 72 of my packet sitting at the VA with no movement.......

That’s rough I don’t get why this process takes so long, mine is almost at 30 days and I have a feeling I will be waiting for a long time myself, once March 10th hits I will be making phone calls I was told my case is not complicated and should have ratings at 30 days

I spoke with the IDES Director yesterday. He called the PEB in front of me and they were also astounded mine is taking this long. The PEB inquired to the VA and I am supposed to hear back today.

I really hope you get information today my fingers are crossed for you, I wish you luck keep us updated because I may have to follow the path you took for results
