I am an active duty warrant officer who is being processed for elimination.
I have had neck and back problems for years. I had disc fusion surgery in my
Neck, but still have pain bi also have disc problems in my lower back.
My profile was changed from a P2 to a P3. What is going to happen now?
Will I still be eliminated, or will the MEB happen first? Thanks.

Good day, sir.

Normally, a P3 profile automatically starts an MEB. Check your profile... did the provider check the box that says that an MEB is needed? If so, you're in for the ride of your life. If he/she didn't, just flat out ask. Depending on your time in service (especially if you're under 20 years), I would definitely suggest that you go through the MEB. You've got a fighting chance of getting medically retired and getting Tricare, as well as your other retiree benefits this way. I'm sure there are guys on this site smarter than I that will steer you in the right direction. Jason & Mike Parker are the brains. Guys like me are just here for moral support.

Most of all, take care of yourself and don't play down your injuries/illness. Be honest and get compensated for what has happened to you during your service.
