Hello all!

Well went to the Spine and Pain Centers of New Jersey yesterday. I was all prepared to hear about these corizone shots they were going to give me. However, during my physical evaluation the doctor noticed weakness in my left and right leg. From a seated position I can not lift my left or right legs up off the ground. It is quite odd. The physician placed her hands on my right knee and said okay push against my hand and my leg didnt move. It was the same result with the left leg.

Prior to leaving the office i got three different prescription slips. One slip for three different types of blood work, another slip for an EMG test and a third for Tramidol (which does nothing but makes me very sleepy)

Has anyone ever had this issue? Or have had the EMG test done?

by the way this is "Michigan0782" i logged in with my Facebook account and forgot about the username stuff...

Hey Michigan 0782,

No its not odd...yes I've had it, EMG and MRI supported a nerve abutment I have at L5/S1. I still have the problem...kind of why, in addition to other things ....I can't ride a bike. ( : Can't lift the leg up and over. Minimize your lifting and be real careful for now...In addition I have no ability to adduct..(like start with thighs apart and bring them together...I can do it with no weight..as soon as there is restistance...0 ....I have to look again, but do you have any problems down your legs, behind knee, calf, anterior leg, ankle, toes?

my right knee keeps swelling up and buckling on me. It lasts for about a week....goes away then comes back. I walk with a limp 90% of the time due to the pain on my left side. Get numbness in my left foot that goes all the way up and my lower left back and that goes down. It hurts to drive...sit for long periods...if I walk for more than a few minutes my left foot goes numb and my back stiffens pretty bad.
