About 20 days is all it took for approval from the air force. All I sent was this after being denied last year.

Congrats! Out of curiosity is the 60 percent primarily the result of your score on the Pulmonary Function Test?

corticosteroids for the 60%. I pass the PFT with flying colors but have some type of environmentally induced asthma.

Congrats! I was denied at 100% Asthma on 07 Feb 2020. I am going to ask for reconsideration.

I was in Iraq 2006, I got 100% Asthma which rated on May 06, 2007. Got denied CRSC in 2020. I wonder if they will approve for Iraq Vets.
yes it should be approved immediately with back pay as Iraq is part of the gulf war presumptives. Mine was from Afghanistan, Oman. I was originally denied in 2021 and receiving back pay from my VA application/approval to day of Dec 2019.

There was a recent change to the standards, highly recommend you ask for reconsideration.

I assume when you say corticosteroids you are referring to prednisone pills. If I understand correctly, inhaled corticosteroids only rate 30%.

Most likely that is what they meant, but not in a daily dosage and probably more in a burst treatment muktiple times per year. I could not get them to recognize daily prednisone at 100% even though really it should be based off of prior case decisions.

Finally, NVLSP submitted my CRSC Reconsideration today. Hope to get words from them soon.

Did you get CRSC for asthma, I just put my paperwork in in early October for asthma. I was medically retired from the Air Force because I came back with asthma from Iraq.

Yes, it falls under GW presumptive now with the PACT Act.

Thank you, they made me do a lot of paperwork and document finding even though they medically retired me for asthma from the AF when I came back from Iraq. Do you know how long it takes for them to make a decision for CRSC, thanks?

I submitted mine 8/15/22 and was disapproved 8/29/22. I resubmitted with additional information 8/30/22 and recieved my approval letter on 9/8/22. They have close to a 2 week turn around.

OK thank you. I emailed one of the people who work in CRSC and they recommended I put in for Sinusitis and Rhinitis as well since it is on my VA disability. On my VA paperwork is states sleep apnea with asthma. I wonder if this matters, the way the VA worded it, because it should be asthma with sleep apnea.

Not really sure. I know in my case the Asthma was the retirement cause. So the Air Force didn't recognize my other VA service connected disability. I was TDRL to PDRL so maybe my case is different than yours.

Yeah, they retired me because of asthma. I was placed on TDRL from the Air Force and then after my check-up after a year an half they placed me on PDRL. The person who I was emailing told me to put down Sinusitis and Rhinitis as well because I was rated for that in my VA disability, and they are presumptive conditions of the burn pits, I guess.
