army severance pay

My Peblo figured what I will be receiving but when do I officially find out? Also is it true that all severance pay is taxed now even if you met the requirements for tax free? I heard this was do to lack of funds a DFAS. Appreciate all information.

You will get the actual amount when they calculate your leave and pay (final finance out processing) it should be 2.5 x active duty pay base x years of service.
