Army: Questionable Medboard??

It seems that I keep getting asked the same question by everyone I go see.. "Do you plan on staying in or getting out?" Here is the reasons for me getting that same question asked to me.

My right ankle has been in pain for the past two years, not sure why or how it started. My left ankle also "flares" up when I favor my right ankle. I've had X-rays and MRI's done to both. The ankle surgeon on post where I am, said that theres nothing he can do other then send me to Physical Therpay. After going to P.T, the PT Doc is trying Physical Therpay and also now Desentizing, neither of them working or helping with the pain. I've been on profile since Dec 08 for my ankles. The Doc said that if the PT and Desentizing doesn't help out that I'll be put on Perm. Profile. Either a P2 or a P3.

Now also my Lower back has been giving me problems since July 09. I've gotten X-rays and done Physical Therpay, I'm now being seen at the Ciropractor to allign my back. While I was there, the Ciropractor asked if anyone went over the X-rays with me(which no one has, as I got it after PT was over with) He said that I have Arthritis in my T12, L1, L2. Also something about where my Spine and Hip are fused together, its not fused and could be something that I was born with.

Now, I'm only 24 years old, and I can already tell that my back is only to get worse as I get older.

They said most likely if I get a P3 profile that I would be medboarded, is there any truth to this?

I was just wondering what should I be looking at? Should I prepare my family that I'm going to get kicked out? I really don't want to, as my wife and I just started our family and she doesn't have her degree yet.
My MOS is 25U and I'm a E-4. Where I'm stationed at now, I am capiable of doing my job with all the pain I have, nothing I do besides normal PT increases my pain with my job, unless I have to pick something up thats over 25lbs or so.

Any help? or Ideas? Comments? I'd love to hear it all..

Thanks,
