OK, I have read many many websites, to try to find out info why the process is sooo slooowwww...
Given, its alot faster, as I hear, than Legacy, I was med boarded with iDES program...
Here's my timeline...
August 30, 2011: Given P3 rating
September 2, 2012: Assigned to PEBLO and "officially" begin process
November 17: Signed NARSUM
January 13, 2012: MEB Completed, referred to PEB
February 16, 2012: PEB Convened, DA Form 199 :
Unfit for Lumbar Degenerative Disk Disease with herniated inter vertebral disc. Initial onset 2 June 2011 CONUS. Condition is unfitting for soldier in MOS, as it places him at increased risk when performing basic warrior tasks and battle drills including wear of basic equipment. Stable. (MEBD Dx1, 2 NARSUM, C&P Exams, HREC, DA 7652, DA 3349)
Unfit for Plantar Fasciitis, right. Condition is unfitting for soldier in MOS, as it places him at increased risk when performing functional tasks including evading direct and indirect fire. Stable (MEBD Dx3, NARSUM, C&P Exam, HREC, DA 7652, DA 3349)
“THE SOLDIER WAS FOUND UNFIT BY THE PEB FOR THE ABOVE MEDICALLY UNACCEPTABLE CONDITIONS. PLEASE PROVIDE DISABILITY CODES AND RATINGS WITH RATIONALE. RETURN INFORMATION TO PRESIDENT, US ARMY PHYSICAL EVALUATION BOARD, BLDG 9038, DEARBORN AVE, TACOMA WA 98431”
Block 9: THE BOARD FINDS THE SOLDIER IS PHYSICALLY UNFIT AND RECOMMENDS A COMBINED RATING OF:
AND THAT THE SOLDIERS DISPOSITION BE: Pending DVA Rating
And then…. Silence….. I haven’t heard from them since…
So now the waiting game begins... CEP examinations and all evidence have been recieved by VA, however, when I go to ebenefits website, still states that my info is under " Review of Evidence" since September of 2011...
What gives? Why so long? Is this something I am going to have to call VA about, and see why my status is that way? At this point, my ETS date will come before I get kicked out or retired from the military...
Why is it taking so long for updates?
yeah, I know, im a little fistrated, as I am sure most of you that have gone through the process and shared this fustration as well...
Any pointers? Or anything I can do to make this process go faster?
Thanks~
Mark
