Anyone w/Knee Disability?

eBenefits never updated the tracking of my board. I checked it every single day and it never moved. Then I got the call saying it was done and that was a bit of a surprise. I submitted my board in mid-June, got my answer back a few days ago. I had sixteen conditions, one of which is a knee. From what they wrote in the notes, 10% comes from pain and more if you have loss of range of motion. I have full motion most of the time but it hurts. Make sure you talk to a PEB lawyer about flareups, Deluca is the word I think.
 
First let me say I am jealous of your time line!!!! I started my MEB 12 August 2011... and I just got my NARSUM back today!!
Anyways, my husband was retired for the same issue... he got out earlier this year..he needs a knee replacement, but they dont want to do it yet because hes too young (25). His ROM wasnt too bad, but he got rated at 30% and permanently retired for just his knee.
 
Thx. I have signed my 199 on 12 Sept 2012. Have been waiting for the damn transition memo for 4 weeks now. Fort bliss sucks when it comes to soldiers transitioning. Hopefully I will get the call this week.
 
I am so glad to hear that I am not the only one so stressed out, just waiting for someone else to tell me when I can move on with my life. I'm not glad that everyone is stressed, It's just good to know that I am not alone. I keep being told that I better hurry up and do this and that, but I cant do anything, make plans, nothing till I get that 199 and my orders. I have a wife and two kids, and nothing hurts more than looking them in the eye, and telling them ( I don't know).
 
I just retired last monday bud, and I am in Austin starting my new job. I know how you feel and I have a good feeling you will be alright, and if your wife and kids are still there, they must really love you like my family loves me. You will get what you deserve bud, it just takes time, and I know that the civilian sector they dont understand that there is no exact timeline. God Bless you and I wish you the best.
