anyone has not received their final decision letter within 30 days after separation?

Hello everyone,

I was at JBLM SRU and I went on terminal leave on 2/15. On 4/25, I was placed on the retirement list. My MSC told me that I should received my final decision letter before 5/24. However, I still have not received any packet and any update on ebenefit and VA.gov. It is still showing "preparation for decision" on ebenefit and "Evidence gathering, review, and decision" on VA.gov. Does anyone have the same problem?

Did you send in your DD214 to the VA yet? They need that to complete your claim and to change your ratings from proposed to final.

I retired 29 Apr 22 and received my packet 23 May 22. Faxed in my DD214 the day after I retired (for reference). I’d call the VA or talk to your VSO to see what’s going on.

Did you send in your DD214 to the VA yet? They need that to complete your claim and to change your ratings from proposed to final.

Yes, I did. I gave it to my MSC on 2/14 and he said my dd214 is already uploaded to my VA e file and Disability Rating Activity Site (DRAS)-SEATAC has been notified

Veterans Service Officer, each county in your state should have one. They’ve helped me quite a bit so far and can pull up your VA file. Gave me my code sheet too which shows which conditions are considered static and when my next routine future exam will be for those that aren’t.
